Decent Japanese restaurant that has been in business for many years. Good variety of Japanese dishes with ample portions. Mostly authentic recipes and ingredients. I like that you can order traditional Japanese meals as well as sushi.

Always love grabbing food here! A popular spot but their food quality is very consistent, large portions and so delicious! Tried their curry for the first time and it was so creamy and smooth, paired well with the salad and miso soup (not pictured)

This was our first time at Azuma Sushi. My toddler niece loves having sushi with me for lunch, and her go-to is usually avocado rolls, miso soup, gyoza, and tempura, sometimes chicken teriyaki. We also ordered steak and scallop skewers which were pretty tiny. In addition, we ordered a sashimi assortment, unagi nigiri, and shrimp nigiri.
Overall, while the food was good, I wouldn’t place it among the top-tier sushi spots we frequent. The service was good—friendly and attentive—and the ambiance was authentic, with traditional decor and a spacious layout.
We arrived late for lunch, so there was no wait, and parking in the plaza was plentiful. Since we were there right before their lunch closing, we had to eat quickly, which was a challenge with my toddler niece’s slow eating pace. However, they didn’t rush us at all.
We had an enjoyable time, but given the many sushi options in the Bay Area, especially along Stevens Creek in Cupertino, we’d likely explore other places before returning.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, very family friendly.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!It’s weird that this place has high review ratings. This place is so bad. Waiter was super rude to us, food was cold and she kept rushing us out. it was a Sunday morning and only one other customer was in the restaurant with us. She tried to take our plates away when we clearly still had food! $70 s for 3 plates of sushi that could have been better plus a bento. Hell no choose another place!!

The food is always delicious. And the portions are usually generous. The Agedashi tofu is a favorite of mine.
Kid-friendliness: Well behaved and older children fit in well here. Babies and toddlers, not so much.

Salad had a large disgusting brown slimy piece in with the fresh lettuce. Rice was more like mochi than rice. Cooked with way too much water. Big red flag when a Japanese restaurant can't even get the rice right. Lastly the Hamachi nigiri was very small pieces of fish on a rice ball only an inch and a half long.

Fish was quite fresh and of good quality, but service was terrible. Server did not let us sit in the booth even when most of them were empty, had an attitude the whole time.
