An absolute travesty to the Lei Garden name from Hong Kong. The congee was watered down and lacked garnish, the dim sum tasted no better than the supermarket frozen counterpart.

This review is for Sunday dim sum. Solid 4 stars in my opinion. We arrived at 11:30 am on a Sunday morning, right at the peak of any dim sum restaurants busy hours. There was plenty of parking in the area, even at this time. As a small party of 2, we were sat within 15 minutes. Larger parties were waiting about 20-30 minutes.
There are no more carts, instead items are made to order and brought out by servers on large trays. You fill out a menu card complete with a full picture menu - helpful if you're not sure of what you're looking for, and be sure to get a waiters attention as soon as you're done. The dim sum is fresh and made to order. I'd say the quality of the food is very good, better than average, but nothing really stood out as outstanding. Lei's fulfilled our dim sum craving and I would recommend this place and already have a date set for coming back.
Wait staff is attentive and prompt. Food is decently priced and comes to your table hot and fresh. The variety is very good and you're sure to find your favorite Cantonese dim sum delights.

All were made very well. The noodle rolls with XO sauce are always tasty. Prices are acceptable. The ambiance is ok, not great but not bad. Overall our favorite dim sum restaurant in San Jose.
Parking: If you want parking, arrive within 15 minutes of opening; otherwise, you will likely have to park on the street.

Food is just ok, far from delicious. But we still came here quite often because we like the old Lei Garden in HK and Shanghai. However, we will stop doing that. Last weekend, we ordered pickup for a big gathering, but the roasted pork belly went bad. I called the restaurant about it and the lady just denied. She didn’t apologize or agree to refund. And one more fact, they will charge you two tips if you don’t notice that the 18% tips are automatically added. Bye.

Food was great all dim sum dishes. No metal serving spoons available only plastic soup spoons or folks. Use opposite end of chopstick to pick your food from Lazy Susan. Fabric chair cushion were filthy no choice but to sit on it. Lots of talking going on weren’t we all there to eat!!
