Post Covid, the restaurant was converted to a mini market that sold pre-packaged as wells as freshly made sushi to go. Their sushi rolls and fish bowls were good but their cooked items sat unrefrigerated on a counter until sold. They later remodeled and added an ordering kiosk and dining area . Currently, they've discontinued their pre-packaged items, streamlined their menu, and increased prices by around 50%. It used to be an affordable and convenient place but now I'd shop from an Asian market or splurge at a sit down restaurant with atmosphere.

Good food, authentic. One of my favorite place for grab and go sushi and rolls. Order ahead if you in hurry!

A hidden, unassuming sushi spot tucked away in the corners of the South Bay suburb that delivers on decent value and taste.Despite living around the area for years, I've never tried Kiku as it's tucked away behind a gas station in a very small strip of stores. Walking in, the interiors leaves much to be desired as furnishings are far from new or inviting. That being said, this place focuses on one that - it's sushi. We got takeout this time around but were not disappoint at all. I got the orange blossom roll and tuna roll; both met my expectations but certainly did not wow me. The provided ginger was not enough for my tastes, nor the soy sauce. Minor complaints though! The fish was fresh - a welcome surprise after seeing the interior and complete lack of customers at 6pm (to be fair, it was a Wednesday night). Rice was a bit lacking in the traditional "sushi rice" flavor.I wouldn't go out of my way for Kiku, but if I'm around need a fill my sushi craving, I know where I'm going :)

Just changed ownership so now it's pretty much just a restaurant. No more grocery business. I think you can still get already prepared rolls and sushi but I went late dinner time and they didn't have anything in the case. You can still order anything on the menu though. I had the Alaska Roll which was crab meat inside with salmon outside. Pretty tasty and it seemed fresh. I hope they do well but their location is a challenge as it's tucked in the back of a slow shopping strip. And the vibe of the place isn't really conducive for eating in imo.

The New Kiku Sushi is great - even better food, portions, and value than before!! The amount of food we got for lunch was great. We had Bento boxes, sushi, and sashimi. They even gave us free Miso Soup and tea. The service was good and friendly. We will come again - Happy they have new owners who have a desire to make a long-time restaurant continue in the future. We are happy we tried them for lunch!!

My family and I used to visit this restaurant all the time pre COVID. They converted it into a supermarket/food court style place instead. Food tasted ok - I actually liked the tonkatsu because of its crunchiness. The restaurant serves the food in plastic containers and has pretty small portions with a pricey tab. The cashiers were very friendly though. The reason for the one star, besides the change of restaurant is because there were many gnats flying around! My family ate inside, and I think I smooshed at least 3 gnats flying around our food. My fiancé was grossed out because a fly came out of the soy sauce (it must have drowned in there). He didn't have much of an appetite after.

Stumbled upon this small Japanese market and was surprised there was also a restaurant inside! They have grab & go sushi options but we decided to dine in. We ordered a cherry blossom roll, salmon nigiri and a Hawaiian roll. They gave us one roll on the house because they were missing macadamian nuts, sooo sweet of them and they truly didn't have to!! Fish quality was great as well. We'll be back to order one of the party trays soon :)

to all who love quick, fresh, and convenient, kiku sushi is the spot to go! picture this: it's a hot summer day and you want a nice spread for your makeshift picnic. you can stop by kiku for everything you need. the unassuming market is connected to a sushi restaurant, and has a nice range of fresh food (rolls, chirashi bowls, etc) and a small but mighty assortment of japanese snacks and drinks. it's nestled into an odd little corner of cupertino, and seems to be the only really active establishment in the area. so there's a lot of parking, which is nice. we stopped by around 7pm on a monday, and there were still a few select bowls to choose from. all the raw items were packaged on the same day and set to expire for the same day, so clearly very fresh. the owner was super friendly when we purchased, and offered up water, a microwave (?!), and seating inside and out for our to-go items. pretty much everything i look for in a market like this - except if you could start making egg sandwiches, i'd probably come here every week. will definitely be stopping by again to see more of the lunch selection!

After finishing a hike nearby, I wanted a quick snack in Cupertino. I was excited to see there was prepared sushi available here for a quick take out. It's connected to a sushi restaurant so I expect the quality to be really good. I also liked that there were drinks available and some grocery store snacks available too. I bought coffee and a California roll. Both were very tasty! Price was good too for the roll, it was around, I think $7 for 8 pieces. A little bit cheaper than the prices I see at the big chain grocery store sushi. They also have nigiri and other rolls available as well.It seemed they were taking a phone order and the ordering POS machine was in use, so I had to wait around 10 minutes before they hung up and were able to ring up my order. I was first in line as well. This took away from the "convenience" of being able to grab a quick meal. If they were able to figure out how to reduce the wait time, that would make the experience here great.

The sushi platters at Kiku Sushi are a true work of art. Each piece is expertly crafted with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, and beautifully presented on a platter that's almost too pretty to eat. Whether you're a fan of classic nigiri or more adventurous rolls, there's something for everyone here. But what really sets Kiku Sushi apart is the value. These sushi platters are incredibly generous, with enough sushi to satisfy even the biggest appetite. And considering the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the preparation, the prices are simply unbeatable. As a reminder for anyone that does pickup (instead of delivery), be sure to order directly from them on either their website or by phone. We're lucky enough to live 5 minutes away so we'd rather have our dollars going to the restauranteur's pocket instead of DoorDash (sorry not sorry DoorDash!)

This restaurant is stuck in pandemic mode. Dine in for lunch means eating with plastic containers and paper plates. Ordered a bento box with pork katsu. Didn't even come with some miso soup. Very minimal salad compared to other Japanese restaurants.Dragon roll was decent. Hardly anyone dining in but service was spotty.Had to ask for toilet paper in the women's restroom. Sad state of affairs.
