I once knew a girl, we worked at South West YMCA camp, jeepers was it 1984? Fast forward to 2002 I randomly saw her in this bar and time hasn’t passed. We said our goodnight, but this a meet zone that has legs…it’s an older established neighborhood bar, a meeting zone. You should check it out. From my experience, there are a few ground rules, ready?Be good or be gone…No matter the size of your entourage, you don’t own this place, we are all transitioning throughout, so calm down.The deputy mayor of the town is at the end of the bar. The local doctor is at the bar, the local plumber that will fix all of your issues is at the bar, so tread lightly before you blow this place up with your outside view.Back to my original point of view, you don’t own this place with your ca$h, they own the history and you borrow it for a few hours. Be good or be gone.

American (the reviewer) needs to figure out his own problems, not negative bomb this place.Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great customers.Yes, it is cash only. Figure that out before you go there.If you live in the Silicon Valley, this is a place to try. If you aren't interested in looking good or trying to look good or trying to act like you are doing good, come here.If you used to live in the same place, this is also a great place to go. It feels like something that I remember from when I actually cared about being in the Bay Area. I still visit quite often. And I will add this to the list of places that I will go.

Glad we came on NFL Sunday when there was free pizza, who doesn't like free food?! It's too bad they don't have serve food normally, we would be here all the time. The bartender and patrons all seemed to know each other. It lead to a really communal environment. Drink prices are excellent and there's free popcorn instead of peanuts. I appreciated the touch of hospitality and fun. Can't wait for the next time we're in the area to stop back by.

So they now have new management and most all the bartenders have changed and they have removed several of the dollar bills and hanging pictures of other bars - losing its charm - I don't get it??

This place is an awesome vibe! Drinks are good price & they give out free fresh popcorn!!!! They have two pool tables, which are $1 to play. They also have darts and a golf game that you can play. Awesome customer service as well. The dude that works there makes some fire drinks like the Scooby snack! "Highly recommend" They also have a smoking area outside where you can find chill people to talk to.
Tiny, loud and full of character 80+ year old dive bar with an eclectic mix of neighborhood regulars, students and young tech types. Pool, darts, juke box, video golf and local sports team support. Cash only. Are there better and newer bars in the area? Simply put, yes. Are they half as cool as P&E's? Very few of them come anywhere near.

This is a real bar that only serves drinks of all kinds! Fresh fragrant popcorn is available at all times! Pool tables and darts and dice games sharpen your skills! Paul & Eddie's is celebrating their 80 year birthday! Before it was a bar it was a grocery store! Stepping into this bar is like stepping back 100 years in time when there were no cell phones, computers or cell phones! People came to cash their paychecks, get a haircut or say hello to friends!
