Good food. Friendly service. Clean establishment. I personally don’t have problems with the automatic 18% tip. There is no expectation to tip on top of that, and I always leave in that range anyways. Having worked at Vietnamese restaurants in the past and witnessed many customers leaving zero to minimal tip, I understand where the restaurant is coming from.
Pho Ha Noi is an amazing place to get great Vietnamese food, with helpful service and flavorful dishes. I usually order chicken breast pho, which always tastes delicious and isn't too hot. In addition, I really enjoy the crispy rice, which has good flavor and texture. The waiters and staff are always kind and provide good service. I highly recommend!

I just had the worst dining experience here. Usually I go with my boyfriend to the Milpitas location for Pho Ha Noi, but since they close on Tuesdays we decided to go here instead. When we ordered, I asked for beef on the side since they allow this at other locations when you order the large size (almost ~$19/bowl), but the server gave me attitude and a judgy look when I asked about it even though I was just asking a question. When another server brought our order, they asked who ordered the P2, although since both of us ordered it, I told him we both ordered it. Then he said with attitude he was talking about the one with the regular noodles. It felt that these two employees were showing us some kind of hostility, even though we didn't give them any reason to.
After finishing the noodles, I didn't even feel 100% full (more like 75%), which is never the case when I eat a large size at the other locations. I'm pretty sure the reason for this is because they added less noodles or meat in the pho, since I could also tell the bowl looked a bit more sparse.
After this horrible service and less than full serving of pho (despite it being $19!!), the worst part was than they charge a mandatory service fee of 18%... Needless to say, this is the last time we'll be coming to this location.
A tip: Try any other location but here, there definitely seems to be a problem with the staff here.

What the helly? They are skipping out on everything. Even the siracha is watered down. At those prices. This is horrible. FYI I have small hands too. It’s getting worse and worse here.

Food quality has gone down. Last time I came, the portion of noodles were very little and not consistent with the other bowls we ordered. The greens provided was very scarce like they ran out. Top it with a mandatory service fee for this type of service. I’ll make the drive to San Jose location from now on. At least they have always been consistent.
Delicious food. Garlic noodles and beef from Harris Ranch. Worth the borderline-rude service and difficult parking situation.

Please do not go here. There was a maggot in my soup. Upon telling them they just offered to replace the soup after they took the napkins with the maggot away so fast. This is totally not the first time this happens. Im calling the food inspectors. This is disgusting. I hope this gets taken care of and other people stay away from here to never allow thsu to happen again. This is not the only bad review, there are other related to this like having symptoms of food poisoning and finding bugs in their food. I am still in shock and complete disgust as this just happened to me today. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
This was my first time coming here, and it was very disappointing. The service felt cold and rushed. We asked twice for hot water with lemon before it finally arrived, and we also asked to have our bean sprouts steamed, but they never came. When the bill came, an 18 percent tip had already been automatically added. Servers are supposed to warn you about this, but we were never told, and for the kind of service we got, I would not have left that much.
We ordered the wings and they tasted really bad. I usually eat anything and almost never spit food out, but these were so bad that I actually had to. On top of that, my chopsticks smelled strongly of chemicals, like they hadn’t been washed properly, while my partner’s were fine.
I want to warn people about this place. The food is bad, the service is poor, and the automatic tip is unfair.

I came here 3 times within a week. Short ribs with kimchi is my favorite; it’s so rich and flavorful. The portions are surprisingly large.

The waitress is inpatient to explaining the menu, asked for a container for leftovers and never came, and 18% tips charged automatically. Only services is drop food and water. Service is definitely getting worser now. They don't care about quality of service anymore, 18% tips is locked.

Dry chicken and a mandatory 18% service fee.
And when the check comes, they tell you they would appreciate it if you can tip more. The whole experience was very tacky to me. The only thing the wait staff did was took us to our table, gave us menus/water, and bought out the food. I believe in tipping but when it’s forced and the food is bad, I can’t justify tipping more.
