Delicious food and modern interior design! The food is very flavorful and delicious. The tomato pork had a fresh flavor and the portion was a good size.

If you order fish soup, remember to let it boil ( cook) for 8 minutes. If you forget to boil it for 8 minutes, it will not be fully cooked. My Dad wanted to try this place because he passed by it in the past and saw many customers. I did not know there are many vegetarian dishes ( there are some meat dishes but not many). Everything is in Chinese ( so I assume it is only for Chinese readers). Although the food was good, it was ( to be honest) a rip off. The only good thing ( my Dad ordered was the spinach/seaweed). It had a pleasant, nice taste and gave you plenty ( for 10 dollars). But the sea bass soup was 52 dollars and I did not see very much meat (not big...the fish) and soup tasted very average ( I had better soup at other restaurants). The waiter did not give us hardly any green onion so my Dad asked for more to put in the soup and he did give it to him. But still lack flavour and just not that great ( for 52 dollars, I expect good soup). Also, the mushroom fried rice was rip off. It costed 39 dollars for hardly any mushroom. The mushroom was suppose to be expensive but hardly any in the rice. Although the rice tasted good ( it had pork and some pork fat which gave it a nice flavour) but not much veggie in it. It was basically fried rice with pork and suppose to have more mushroom but had very little. Instead it had bean ( or lima bean?) which was Ok but nothing great. Since they were so stingy ( for 39 dollars) with the beans or very little veggie ( or no vegetables) I dont think it was worth the price. I have had much better fried rice at other restaurants better taste or more veggie or more meat or other. But it seems they only put beans and rice and very little mushroom (and over priced). That is why I gave so little on the rating. They did not even give hot tea ( only hot water), we had to ask for tea. Some waiters are nice but some are not very good. The waiter claim that I ordered hot water. He never asked me, just assumed. This restaurant needs to at least provide tea for people who order 50 dollar of fish soup. It just feels kind of cheap for the prices they charge and hardly give you food. Only the spinach was worth it.

Very frustrated by the service today. Only 45 minutes after all dishes are served and I am still working on these dishes, the waiter was taking away these dishes without checking with me. I stopped him and explained we haven’t finished yet. Another 5 minutes later they asked again to let as leave. I understand there are people waiting but it becomes unreasonable to push us leaving and keep giving us pressure.

The food tasted amazing!
BUT let’s just say my bf and I both had sudden onset of stomach problems afterwards ?
There were bits of sand in one of our dishes, but the server was prompt to offer remaking it. I wonder if that was the problem…so diner beware ?

That fish everyone talks about was fantastic, BUT, the food is way too pricey for what it is.

Also, if you're not a fan of ethnic Chinese food, prepare to get bewildered at the options.

Still, pretty good and will impress Chinese parents!

My favorite dish would be the fried rice and 騰沖大救駕! Most of the dishes look new to me, not something you may see from other Chinese restaurants.
The restaurant is clean and spacious.

A good place for friends to have dinner together, the environment is bright and comfortable, and the waiters are very friendly. The cold rice noodles were recommended by the waiter. They have a refreshing taste and are a little spicy. Although they are served cold with red oil, they don't feel greasy at all. I didn’t have lemongrass grilled fish in Yunnan, but I made up for it in Liuxiang. I really like the taste of lemongrass, it’s very special. Bullfrog ordered the perilla flavor, which was very fresh. I particularly liked the spicy taste.

This place features unique Yunnan cuisine from southwest China (the rain forest region bordering Laos and Cambodia). Everything we tried (stir fried wild mushrooms, grilled fish, fried rice with mushrooms and beef, Chinese okra, and spicy beef combination) was all delicious. It can get very crowded and load during peak hours. Very good restaurant to try Yunnan cuisine!

Parking: Free parking behind the restaurant

They don’t take reservations so we walked in and waited in line for 1hour. Service is fine but apparently they don’t managed the wait time very well. If u missed show up over 3mins, they’ll automatically cancelled your wait. Food is terrible compared with their other brunch in Fremont! Definitely not a worthy try….

This restaurant is far from your typical Chinese dining experience, especially if you’re a fan of protein-heavy meals. The menu has very limited options when it comes to meat dishes, as the restaurant specializes in mushrooms. From hot to Mala spices, the variety of mushroom dishes is impressive, but be warned—if you’re not accustomed to bold flavors and spices, this might not be the place for you.

We didn’t realize that mushrooms were the specialty here, so we opted for the Deep Fried Pork Ribs. Unfortunately, the ribs were dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The Shredded Potato, despite requesting minimal spice, was too fiery for our taste. The Fried Rice was average but lacked the aromatic touch that makes this dish stand out. The Jami Red Rice Noodle, sadly, did not live up to expectations either—it was bland and unimpressive.

One thing to note is the sheer amount of spices used throughout the restaurant. You can smell it in the air as it tingles and stimulates your senses—definitely a strong indicator of what’s to come on your plate!

Overall, the experience was a bit too spicy, even for those of us who enjoy heat in our food. None of the dishes paired well with rice, making it a less than satisfying meal. If you’re a fan of mushrooms and can handle intense spices, it might be worth a try. Otherwise, you may want to explore other options.

Vegetarian options: Beware that Mushrooms n veggies are cooked with various intense spices!
