So the gimmick here is that they give you your food uncooked and pre-prepared in a hot black stone bowl and you cook and sauce it yourself. But the food is so gd mid that it would be preferable to go anywhere else that actually makes your food. I have asian genes so you can trust my taste that its about on the tier of something I'd eat by myself at home on one of my better depression days. And the "veggies" are just corn (which is a grain), lima beans (legumes have ambiguous vegetal status), green onions (more of a topping really), and if you get the tofu vegetable dish, carrots (credit due here) and a La Croix level approximation of onion. I mean mid food isn't a crime or anything but why charge $15+ for a meal that isn't even really prepared. Bay Area CoL I guess. Nice interior though. Would probably come here for something like a inertial Bumble meetup or a suicide prevention celebration lunch.

We love this place! Love the customization, the speed of service and the cheesy fries! If you like hot plate asian food , fried rice, and tons of sauces, then this is a top spot in cupertino. I've done few bday dinners and everyone loves the concept.

Unique concept to me... First time here and really enjoyed it. Service was excellent and better than the atmosphere would reflect. Would definitely come back, though it's kind of a singular type of food so it won't be often. Highly recommend you try it out.

We've been to Sizzling Lunch before but they've recently remodeled and it's now even nicer inside. There are tablets at each table for you to place your order. We tried the salmon pepper rice and unagi pepper rice. Both were delicious. The unagi pepper rice comes with a layer of egg underneath. Overall, great food and ambiance.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, including a tofu plate, a curry plate, and more.

This location was super easy to get to and had a great time with family eating lunch here .Plates came out sizzling hot, and food was super flavorful. Wanted to sit at a more optimal booth location but the digital screen ? was broken at that specific booth. Otherwise, overall a good first time experience!
