Food tastes like the cleaning agent / bleach they are using. Having a stomachache now. Clearly they don’t rinse their bowls correctly. Avoid it!

We ordered two noodles and one noodle soup has steeling wool in it, the other noodle has a dead cockroach.

Great value and friendly service. To-go orders are very well packed. Love their supreme fish maw chicken noodle soup, delicious food at an amazing price.

Maybe we ordered the wrong thing today.
The chicken dish is great about 4 stars but the duck dish is pretty bad (tough so it’s hard to chew) 2 stars at most… the three cup intestines dish is 4 close to 5 stars though!
May come back to try the noodle soup next time.
Price is reasonable!

Everything went smoothly.
Went to get a quick dinner today with my mom. We both ordered the Hainanese Chicken Noodle soup. The chicken was still pretty good, but the soup tasted really weird. Service was ok

Chicken soup was tasteless. If not for their Hainan chicken, I would have rated them one star.

Surprising great price for good food!! Had the duck with rice dish and came with hot soup, with sides of ginger and pickled cucumber. Parking was easy.

Such delicious food for a great price. The hainanese chicken was succulent and the spring onion sauce was perfect for the chicken rice. I loved the vegetable with seafood too, cooked with delicious peanuts. The laksa is not like the one from Singapore, definitely a new creation.

Nice, authentic Chinese restaurant specializing in noodle soups, but also has rice dishes and entrees. A decent size menu with lots to explore. Service and atmosphere is good.

11/23/2024, build your own soup or order chef combo. You can change chef combo for additional cost. Tom Yum soup similar to Thai, very tasty.

This used to be my favorite noodle spot for years, thanks to its Hainan chicken noodle special and chicken rice plate. The dishes offered great value, and the soup, famously free of MSG, was a standout. For the price of a fast-food burger meal, you could enjoy a flavorful bowl of chicken noodles—an unbeatable deal.
Unfortunately, things have changed. Over the past six months, the quality of the chicken has noticeably declined. They’ve switched from ranch or cage-free chicken to a lower-quality alternative. The meat now has a mushy texture, barely surpassing that of Costco rotisserie chicken.
Even more disappointing is the addition of MSG to the soup base, which leaves you parched after finishing a bowl. While some might not mind, I don’t think my taste buds have changed—this isn’t the soup I once loved.
I’d recommend that Special Noodle Soup focus on preserving the quality of their signature dishes, even if it means raising prices. Compromising quality undermines the reputation they’ve built over the years.
I would like to hear your comments or it's just me getting older!!
