Miss this place now more than ever. Ate here literally 4 to 5 times a week. Staff was very friendly, previous owner Tony was very helpful. All of the staff deserved better than what happened to them and this part of Orange County deserves a Japanese curry restaurant again.

This was a wonderful place with the most delicious katsu curry. My family's go to place for comfort food/ feel good or celebration. Now it is memory... SO upset it closed. And very unfair to employees for the way it was done!

Absolutely delicious curry! I had the chicken katsu curry, which was beautifully presented and very flavorful. The spice levels were very well balanced with the dish as well. This is my new favorite restaurant for curry!

This place was a 5-star, but giving a 1 to warn people that they abruptly closed this week. The managers/employees weren't even given a proper notice. Google 'curry house' for more info, the LA Times has an article about it. Totally insane.

My favorite restaurant of all time. :( I'm absolutely heartbroken to know that all of the curry house locations in California have closed. I've tried other Japanese curry places but the curry house flavor and hospitality of this specific location just can't be beat. My heart goes out to the lovely employees who suddenly lost their jobs today, 2/25/2020. Thank you for the wonderful memories! I hope that one day the franchise will come back again.

Well it appears that Curry House has closed again. My Wife and I went there for dinner tonight and it was dark. There was no sign on the door, no food examples in the window, and completely dark inside at 7pm in the evening. We are so bummed.

My childhood...!!! ! I'm a TOTAL CURRY HOUSE FAN. I even drove quite a bit to come here for my birthday. So worth the drive!! I love the beef curry rice plate set. Omg the corn soup. Omg the slices of egg on top of my rice, dipped in thick curry. Omg. I can legitimately taste it in my mouth right now please please please Curry House please come back to Irvine my family misses you!!! I'm so sad the one in irvine closed. This is way better than Coco Ichibanya, and the portions are more generous. At Coco Ichibanya, you only get like 4 pieces of sorry flavorless meat in watery curry... Here you get delicious quality, both in the meat and curry :)!! Curry House you have my heart and money 5ever love you byebye

I was craving curry while visiting LA. Found this on my near by search, Curry is mediocre, I ordered the tofu curry with ground chicken and the tofu was cold. Not impressed. First and last time visiting here.
My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid. I agree with the other review that the food is hit or miss now that's it's under the care of new owners. The quality and taste has definitely gone down. My mom found a red thread in her chili spinach pasta, and she said it was really oily. My brother and I got the pork katsu (our usual) and the rice is a tad too sticky for my liking. It was also pretty salty and the crust isn't as good as it used to be -- it's dry and super flat. The service however was fine, the young man that helped us was very nice. But, we won't be back next time to satisfy our cravings for curry. Gomen down the street is where it's at.

Been going here for ages. But with the change of ownership, dining here becomes a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good..other times, the quality is off. Tonight, the chicken Katsu tastes stale with a funky aftertaste. The chicken was not fresh. Also, the food comes out sporadic. I was almost don't with my food before the rest of our meals came out. The fries were soggy and food was not hot. Service has always been really good. No compLaints. But I the kitchen needs more training. They can't handle large crowds. While they have made improvements while taking over the business, the quality in their food has suffered. Hopefully they will get it back soon

I fell in love with the curry house when I first tried it. The curry is amazing and the service is always attentive, responsive, and polite. My go to is the chicken or pork Katsu with mild curry and I tend to put a bunch of the pickled fukujinzuke which tastes amazing. The plate comes with rice, curry, and your choice of meat. Please try the curry house it's a must try.
