It's unfortunate I've taken to-go lunch orders from here for a while and it was tasty and friendly. I don't know if it's new management but today I met my daughter and son here for dinner and after waiting 40 minutes to server didn't know there was even a waiting list and parties of three tables that apparently were reserved by phone. Dinner has a huge selection of authentic Japanese izakaya dishes, most of which are as good or better than any izakaya in Japan. And very reasonably priced! For those who know what authentic Japanese food is and want it, this is the place to go!

For years, I've been coming to Echizen for its authentic Japanese fare and excellent service, which has always been consistent. Tucked in a small plaza across from Cypress College, this is one of my go-to spots for the izakaya menu and daily lunch specials.
