I was so excited to learn Kura Revolving Sushi from Japan was here in Cypress. I went with my son, and we were hoping for the same price and quality from Japan, but it missed the mark. Go for the fun experience of a revolving sushi restaurant if you haven't experienced it. If you want quality sushi that's worthy of your hard earned money, go to a more traditional sushi restaurant in Cypress.

Don’t expect any Kura in Japan like quality here. Worse than any other revolving sushi place. Fish not fresh. Slimy texture. Skimpy on wasabi charges $3.80 for hot tea. Totally Un-Japanese like practice. If you like sushi stay away wasted $$. Lastly ginger tested bad.
I heard there is a conveyor belt sushi place, but this is my first time going. It reminds me of the system I had when I was in Japan. As various sushi and rolls pass by on a belt, I choose what I want to eat (about $3.8 per plate).
I quickly took out the sushi from the moving plate and ate it thanks to the friendly instructions from the staff. ㅋㅋㅋ
The fish quality feels a little better than All You Can Eat, but there isn't much of a difference. If you like something, it's marked with a picture so you can order it separately. It costs about $80 for two people. Prices have gone up so much these days that $100 for two people seems like a basic amount, but there are many restaurants where the satisfaction level is very low compared to the price.
For people who eat a lot, the All You Can option might be better. The store is clean and well organized, so I give it high marks. I intend to visit again sometimes.

One of the slower Kura sushis. It's alright, I think kura sushi in general is getting pricier each year. I would be cautious with ordering anything off the menu that wasn't sushi. I got their ramen and it was "sweet". It kinda through me off.A good place to go since after you can grab dessert and a drink from 85° bakery right across the way.

I have heard about Kura for years, but I was skeptical of its quality since it had a gimmicky feel to it.
I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed my experience with this establishment.
The sushi was fresh and delicious. There was plenty of variety and you can also order off the menu should you not find what you are looking for or if it doesn't revolve to you. The system is very fast and efficient.
It's a great family atmosphere as the kids will really enjoy it
Highly recommend!

I heard this place was the better revolving sushi chain. And it was my first time at a revolving sushi restaurant.
I am impressed by the technology utilized in the restaurant. They have a robot moving around to deliver drinks. And you can QR scan to get access to the menu to order food, and it offers an easy way to quickly check out.
I ended up in a bum seat, because everything was empty by the time the sushi place made it to me. So when you come, sit on the side where the sushi is just leaving the kitchen so you get first pick. They charge slightly higher on the plates that you order. Otherwise you may have to wait a while before you get the food you want comes around. But overall looks pretty efficient.
The food quality is mid. I have been spoiled by Tokyo Central. The rice is average. The nigiri fish is very thin and looks meh. It tastes fine, but the prepacked Tokyo Central sushi is top shelf. Would come here again for a quick meal with buddies.
The wait is long but worth it

I really wanted this to be as good as the one in Tokyo. Perhaps it is the items I ordered but the quality was really mediocre by comparison and too expensive. I got 3 rolls, a dessert, a tea, and a beef dish and it was $30.
Rolls: the crunchy roll seemed like it was made way earlier in the day and not fresh at all. It was extremely cold including the tempura shrimp, which tells me it wasn't made right then. ?. I also got a shrimp popper roll which was better, but not amazing.
Tea: the tea was terrible. Green tea that tasted like barley tea and not green tea which I hate. I didn't end up drinking it.
Dessert: mochi ice cream for $6 I'm sure it's something from a box. You get three balls. Best part of the meal.
Beef dish: major rip off. It came in a little box of 5" x 5x and 2" deep. The beef was mainly fat and not good like it's bulgogi type meat but really the lowest quality possible. Really stringy and fatty and just not done right. Little to no flavor. ?
I won't be coming back here any time soon.
