love their food selection and drinks. grocery has a lot items. produce and seafood
This is the smallest pork katsu I’ve ever seen 😅 for $17 the food court meal doesn’t seem like a good value. It’s basically half the size of the sample display.
The meat itself is good, but they drench the cabbage in so much dressing (either that or they don’t do a good job straining excess water from the cabbage) that it soaks the bottom of the katsu, making it very mushy.
I’d much rather dine in at yoko.
Nice clean, with good spots to eat. But limited options
Pretty small for a Mitsuwa/grocery store but seems to have all the basics at least. Food court is ok. May opt to go to other markets nearby instead
Smaller than other locations but spotless and well stocked.
Small store, but to the point with basic essentials.
Three food places in the food court, possibly 4th to come.
Clean and seating available through the food court
Staff are friendly
Revised review 1/2026: seems like they gotten past their growing pains they had when they first opened. Nice to have a Japanese market close by but wish the supermarket was larger. This is a small Mitsuwa so they won’t necessarily have the brand or item you are looking for.
Disappointing. Second time there for me was tonight after stopping by the Monday after opening. First time there were a lot of empty shelves which I figured was due to the opening weekend crowds. Now two weeks later on a Tuesday night the same amount of empty shelves. Worse they were selling some sashimi that was a day past its sell by date. I am hoping these issues are due to growing pains and the need to bring new staff up to speed on things like how much to order to keep their shelves stocked. I will continue to stop by hoping it improves but I am surprised a company with multiple stores in SoCal is having such issues two weeks after opening.
This is one of the small venues I have gone to, but it's nice for a quick snack run.
I live close to this market and come here at least 3 times a week. This Mitsuwa market is considerably smaller than the Costa Mesa or the Torrance location, but has all the Asian pantry staples here. The produce section leaves a lot to be desired and I find the leaf greens less fresh compared to other locations. They offer a lot of grab and go food options, my favorite is the kaisen bowl. Food court selection is limited but the omusubi (rice ball) vendor is highly recommended.
Some of the earlier reviews complained about flies issues in the food court, but I believe that issue has been resolved. I did not see any flies the last couple times I ate at the food court.
Clean market. Variety of things, but it's very very small for a market . A small food court. Love the quality of the prepared food, although that's also a bit pricey too.

Mitsuwa Cerritos is excellent. Cerritos is not a racist place. Cypress is so gross that they had to suck up my CERRITOS Mitsuwa review since they think they are too good for a Mitsuwa grocery store? We want a US Army led Google fairness revolution. Japanese artistry in craft of food perfections. Get their CUSTARD BUNS!!! And get also their MOCHI!!! :D :D :D yum yumss nom nom noms ;p ;p please make sure the Mitsuwa grocery store you attend to has the special specific store within the store which sells these delicious specialties, like in this case for Cerritos Mitsuwa. Pro-tip for you, good goodies for say birthdays...
Staff are friendly special all stocker and cashiers, clean
This is the smallest Mitsuwa.. lol all you need is 3 minutes to shop the entire store. Food is smaller portions.. everything here appears to be higher prices than Costa Mesa store
I had high expectations because I went to the one in Costa Mesa a few days prior and was in awe. I came to this location on Christmas Day and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. It wasn’t crowded when I went but the food court is small and the market was even smaller. It’s really tight to get around with a cart. I’m glad I went during Christmas Day because I can’t imagine how busy it gets on regular days.
Great food court. Small but excellent Japanese grocery store. We will return.
