Had AYCE sushi. Pretty high quality sushi. The fish to rice ratio was very good. The speciality rolls were also very good. AYCE was a little on the pricier side at around $33 but you’re able to order regular menu dishes that were cheaper ($15-$20)

This was our first time dining here, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The sushi rolls were oversized, with an overwhelming amount of rice and noticeably low-quality ingredients. The sushi itself was dry and lacked freshness.
We specifically requested that our meal be served in a certain order: soup first, then appetizers, followed by sushi and rolls. However, the staff brought the miso soup first, then jumped straight to the rolls and appetizers afterward, which disrupted the flow of the meal.
When we asked to speak with the manager or owner, the server responded, “You can talk to me.” I politely shared our concerns, and she simply said, “This is our standard.” I mentioned that this kind of service could drive customers away and that we wouldn’t be returning, to which she responded, “Our customers like it the way it is.”
At that point, we decided not to order anything further, paid for what we had, and left. Sadly, it confirmed what my wife noticed from the start — it was a Friday at 1 PM, and the restaurant was nearly empty, with only two tables occupied. She had a feeling we should have left right then.
Sorry to say we had such a poor experience.

Since the new ownership, this sushi spot has truly become a hidden gem! The prices are fair and affordable, which is rare to find for such high-quality sushi. The selection is great, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious items. The quality is a solid 10/10 — the sashimi literally melts in your mouth. Every visit leaves me already looking forward to the next. Without a doubt, the best sushi in town!

Yuka Sushi used to have pretty good food when they first opened. We live in Cypress and we even received the “Welcome” coupon in the mail, which is why we ended up going. This was our like 8th time there.
The quality of our food this last time we visited was not good. The only thing that tasted good and fresh was the Sushi. However, the “Premium” rolls, both the Paradise roll and Cilantro Albacore roll, were tiny compared to our other visits. Also, the rice consistency was extremely sticky almost like sticky rice. However, what really got me disappointed this time was the Beef Yaki. This beef was overpowered by so much black pepper that it was hard to eat. It was way too spicy.
The ambiance and the service of Yuka are always good. But the food was pretty bad. What a dissapointment.
