Taking filipino grocery with a cooked snack, unique and great experience

We went to Tambuli and bought some items. When we were about to pay at the cashier, the two Dole pineapple juices I took were noticed. My husband politely said, “Can we cancel the first transaction so the juice can be included?” He was even smiling when he said it.
But the rude cashier replied, “No, you can’t. It’s already been entered,” and then she rolled her eyes at my husband. I got annoyed, so I slammed the juice on the counter and said, “Fine then, don’t bother. Never mind.”
My husband jokingly asked the cashier again if it was still possible, hehehe. She answered that it could be done, but only as a new transaction. Then that nasty cashier even looked at me, probably thinking I would smile back. But I was already frowning and really irritated.
Early in the morning and she already greeted us with such a bad attitude. If she’s already tired of being a cashier, she should just quit. She could have explained it nicely, without rolling her eyes or showing attitude—but she didn’t. That’s why I told her she was very rude.
So if you go to Tambuli, avoid that woman (the new cashier). We’ve been shopping at Tambuli for so long, and this is the first time I’ve encountered such a rude cashier—so full of herself.

Tambuli Seafood Market is our go-to spot for Filipino food, especially their Salmon Belly — always fresh and perfect for home-cooked meals. It's great to have a place like this that brings a taste of home to the community. The variety of Filipino ingredients and seafood available makes it convenient and reliable.

That said, the place could benefit from a bit of renovation to give it a fresher and more inviting look. A little update would really help enhance the overall shopping experience without taking away from its charm. Still, the service and product quality are solid, and we’ll definitely keep coming back.

They have small Apple Bananas, most of the time, many different kinds of fish, shrimp and squid. Be prepared to wait at the fish weigh station for at least 5 minutes to be ignored before your fish is weighed and labeled, if you are not Asian.

Unfortunately they don’t answer the phone, just a waste of time, gas and effort!!!

Quaint shop offering Asian food products. A little more pricey than neighborhood supermarkets but your neighborhood market doesn't offer many items regularly offered here. Staff is usually helpful and friendly. S Thank you

I like to stop by Tambuli Market on the way home from the Cerritos Farmers Market on Saturdays. For a smaller market, they have a great selection of fresh seafood, mainstream & uncommon meat cuts, Filipino pantry goods, Filipino desserts, Filipino frozen foods, and hot Filipino deli dishes.
When in season, they even have the leaves of fresh ampalaya(aka bitter melon), chili, and malunggay(aka moringa) which are hard to find.
