We all stopped here for lunch a few weeks ago. My second time coming here after playing some bets on horses. I got me a big Cheeseburger with everything on it. This reminds me of a old fashion diner. Food and drinks are good. Staff are awesome. Great place to people watch after the race track. Cant wait to come again

We have been coming here for 10 years. This is the first year that I was very disappointed. Food was horrible and very expensive. They stopped serving chicken parmigiana, which was delicious. The Cobb Salad was all lettuce with a few crumbles of bacon and blue cheese. Good portion of avocado but the chicken was horrible. The pasta was dry and tasteless. The split pea soup was good and so was the steak and cheese platter. The iced tea was bitter and when asked for a soda instead, I was charged twice.

We received the BEST SERVICE from Reuben, the host who sat us to Erin, our beautiful server! We were greeted by Reuben with a welcoming smile and happy to help us, especially since we didn't have a reservations. He sat us outside, which were great seats, we could see everything! Reuben introduced our lovely server Erin who was AWESOME and knew the menu well. We ordered:Steak sandwich: it was only ok. Just meat with cheese and bread on bottom. Fries were ok. Steak quesadilla was pretty good and tasty. Cheeseburger: again, just meat. Spinach and artichoke dip was ok. Hot chocolate was pretty good. Coffee: ok. I forgot to take pictures because I was soooo excited that my horse won! Lol. Good times!!! Thank you Mr. Reuben and Erin for cheering us on. Lol. I love this place.

Being long time residents of Cypress, we had never appreciated what a wonderful, fun-filled place the Los Alamitos Race Track was until a neighbor organized a group outing there early last Saturday evening. It started with a fantastic dinner at Vessels where the quality of food was amazingly great and well-prepared. Top it all, the portions were very generous. Our dinner started with the house salad which was fresh and crisp. For entrees the steaks (ribeye and the daily special filet mignon)were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. A yummy apple cobbler rounded out a perfect meal. Service was solid. The beautiful setting sun and the quiet racetrack vista provided a superb backdrop. Then, as if on cue, the night quarter horse racing commenced. From the high vantage of our table, we had a panoramic view of the actions. We were also able to freely roam the clubhouse, paddock, winner circle and place bets! That's truly fantastic entertainment for us to experience first hand the thrilling excitement of live horse racing. It was an enjoyable, memorable outing.

Wonderful belated birthday dinner with my mother and her soon to be husband Robert. Food was amazing service was excellent. I really appreciate them taking the time to sing happy birthday to us and giving us complementary carrot cake. So good! This was a really fun dinner ! five star eating experience

We came to enjoy the races and they were completely booked no where to sit. Cathy the President of Los Alamitos accommodated us. She gave us wonderful seats (her table). We had a great time and the food was good. Thank you Cathy for being so generous!

WORST SERVICE EVER!! Dinner reservations @ 5:30pm (3 guests), paid $10 entry fee per person, seated outside on patio overlooking finish line of race track - here to celebrate my birthday. The view was pretty - but that was about it for the entire experience. We started off with an appetizer of nachos and ordered a couple rounds of beer, figured we had plenty of time before the races started at 7:30pm, mind you we were seated just after 5:30pm. Our server Luis, escaped our table for the next 3 hours, not sure if he was avoiding us or what, but noticed another table next to us receiving the same horrible follow up service. That table order a bottle of wine, and after 45 minutes, the lady walked to the bar to retrieve her order on her own, horrible. Finally at 8:30pm, well into the 3rd race, Luis our server asks if I am ready for my birthday cake celebration. I informed him we haven't even ordered dinner and it's been nearly 3 hours since we arrived, letting him know this was unacceptable service. He assured us he would take care of our dinner and have it out in 15 minutes, so we decided to order and not just leave, since after all we were watching the races too. He offered us another round of beer and that he would take care of that too, we obliged with his offer. The dinner entrees were good, but soon thereafter we received the $190.00 bill for dinner and drinks, he comped off 1 round of drinks. ARE YOU KIDDING ME - 3 HOURS TO ORDER DINNER AND MERELY COMPS A ROUND OF BEER????? (3 beers) Not only did we receive horribly slow service without any follow up, we paid $10 per person to enter the VESSEL CLUB! More concerning is the thought that Luis did / did not ask for help from other coworkers, a supervisor, manager, etc.... to check on his tables and station to assure his guests were ok. NEVER did a manager come by our table to check on us. Assuming Luis our server had the drinks comped off our dinner check, wouldn't management inquire why that needed to be done?? Wouldn't there be any follow up to help address any potential problems? How about the bartender who placed to bottle and wine glasses on the bar for the server to pick up and deliver that were never delivered for 45 minutes --- didn't the bartender observe they were never delivered?? This is an upscale restaurant which should be providing upscale excellent service. Is management not aware when the serving staff is in need of help? I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years and never have I experienced this level of service, especially at an upscale restaurant. In my humble opinion the entire dinner should have been comped, or at the least, the food along with perhaps one round of drinks. I was embarrassed for my friends who were treating me to a nice birthday dinner celebration at the race track, otherwise I would have demanded to speak with a manager. Sadly I will share this experience with those who are considering having dinner at the race track --- not worth the $$$ and experience.
