There isn't a shortage of Burmese restaurants in the Bay Area, but this takes the crown for me.

The spicy crispy chicken + coconut rice is a magical combo.

Burma native here. The dishes here are authentic, reminds me of northern Burmese food more closer to Mandalay style. The kawk swe thouk (noodle salad) and the tofu salad are standouts. The curries are great too and reminds me of roadside curry shops in Burma. This place is authentic, not watered down Americanized Burmese food that seems prevalent in the Bay…will be back and highly recommend it!

Burma Silver Star is a must-try for every burmese people and the one who loves to eat burmese food. They made it just the way we had in our home country. The owner is unbelievably kind and easy to talk to. He doesn't leave you alone wondering which one to order, he practically reads your soul and recommends the perfect combo of dishes. His service turns a simple meal into a warm, personal experience with attentive care.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Prices are fair, and the quality is top-tier. Do yourself a favor and order the Khauk Swe Thoke -- it's a life-changing noodle salad that will haunt your taste buds in the best way possible. I left not just full, but with satisfaction.

Incredibly happy to find an authentic Burmese restaurant. Every part—the food, hospitality, music, decor—made me feel as if I was back in Yangon. Delicious food… we return again and again for the pork curry, nan gyi thoke (noodle salad), and faluda (rose flavored dessert). They’re also doing weekend brunch, which is a real treat. A gem!

Wow! What an excellent find: authentic Burmese food just like we used to eat in Yangon. The owner is so friendly and will talk to you about Myanmar if you are curious. We come here regularly and enjoy it every time.

UPDATE: They are now open for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-11 a.m. We went for the first time today and it was just like eating breakfast in Yangon when we used to live there. For first-timers to Burmese breakfast, I would highly recommend the pratha, Burmese fried rice, or both!
