I first started coming here when it was still named KOME, then a couple times when it changed to a different name during the pandemic. Fast forward to present day, it is now called Daly Buffet. Upon arrival, the interior is renovated where it is more modern and seating still looks similar to the past. They now have more televisions installed for entertainment and a self serve drinking station which I think was needed so you can decide what you want to drink at your own pace. The food choices are pretty much the same as before, but they added a grill station where you pick out your ingredients with a plate and when ready you hand it to one of the cooks and they will cook it right in front of you. The process is very quick where your barbecue goods will be ready in minutes. Also by their drink station entrance, they have a little freezer filled with ice cream cups. Overall the staffs here are welcoming, well trained and understanding where my visit was a satisfying and issue free one. And this place is a plus in the area/city since this is basically the only buffet in the area. I recommend this place to anyone in need of a quick bite, to anyone willing to try something new, to all buffet enthusiasts, if you can not decide what to eat or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I might be back to tryout the other options they have to offer.

Gót diarrhea 6 times after I had dinner here. To be honest, the food was fresh, taste good. They don't make the food salty so customers eat less but instead they put lots of MSG so I drank lots of water and got full quick.
My daughter also ate here but she was ok. She loves Korean BBQ, quality beef.
Everything was good but I don't know what did I ate cause me diarrhea.
Ah, things I dislike that they have a person stay at the crab dish and serve 1 or 2 pieces at the time which wasting my time to go back and forth. make me don't want to eat. $50 dollars but just eat regular Chinese food I think it is little pricey.
Also, the server when they put away the dishes, he checked every dish careful to see if we wasting food or not. I think this is too much.

Food selections are excellent. You choose your own beverage. Price is reasonable.

Had tried Bacchanal in Las Vegas , The Buffet at the Wynn , and Daly Buffet is more affordable than either of them but is preferable in my view particularly because of their iced tea in bottles which were in their fridge along with the beverage dispenser and their pastries, diff. dishes are prepared with CARE like it's personal for the cook !

The service here is very friendly and kind. The minute I told the hostess that I was here, the first time they took the extra time to explain how things worked.
Sadly the food was just mediocre. I'm not the dreams of the old Todai of yesterday. The hot food section was okay and they spent the time to change out the dishes when they were getting low. Does seafood sushi side was absolutely horrendous. Very low quality on the sea food taste and mushy and old.
Again, the service was attentive. Our waitress even told us that there were free bottled drinks that we could have instead of just the normal fountain drink. First time coming to a buffet where they offer a variety of teas with various flavors.
Sadly, we're here for the food and that fell short. Will we come here again is the question. The answer would probably be no unless they change some special occasion of dishes. Perhaps if there is a birthday in the family and you need a minimum of four people.

Daly Buffet was full at 1pm on a Monday. $32 w/service charge and tax for lunch. It is nice to see Daly City getting a buffet again. The food isn't great. A lot of stuff are missing at lunch like snow crab and short ribs. The items I did like are fountain drinks, prawn crackers, malatang soup station and stir fry station. The rest are forgettable, but at least it is all you can eat.
Do you remember when Kome got hit with massive fines for wage theft and tax evasion in 2019? Then the owners rebranded it as The One. Kome used to have this coupon system where you can get 1/2 of a weird looking lobster at dinner. They also had this wonton soup station and peking duck.

Never coming back here because next day we got a food poisoning and the lady demanding hundred dollar tip even though we already left her $40 tip. This is insane.

The food was really good! The fried shrimp, dumplings, and seafood were tasty and fresh. Everything was well-seasoned, and the buffet had a nice variety. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely come back.
