Came during a weekday lunch, and got the Chicken combo, which came with half katsu chicken and half BBQ. Overall service was good and staff was friendly. The food is definitely a different story though. I was given two sauces, one of katsu sauce for the chicken and another sweet teriyaki tasting for the BBQ. I think it was definitely needed, because my BBQ chicken ended up being pretty dry and lacked flavor compared to what I’ve had from other Hawaiian offerings. The katsu was alright if not a little bit overdone, to where it tasted more like a cracker dipped in katsu sauce. Not my favorite, but might consider coming back on the right day.

Today I ordered an BBQ combo for brunch. The staff provided very nice and fast service. The food was ready in ten minutes. It was hot and flavorful. The eating area was clean and organized.

So dirty and burnt! Skimpy meat and it looks like my meat was cooked on a grill that's never been cleaned. All my meat was black and not edible. Got the bbq combo mix and paid $17 for nothing. Won't be coming back for sure

I'm from Hawaii and I know Loco Moco: hamburger over rice slathered with gravy. The one I got here was probably the worst I've ever had. Instead of being poured over, they give you a tiny container of gravy. Not enough. Then when I asked for more, they said they'd have to charge me. Ridiculous! When I complained, the servers reacted with a shrug. I won't go there anymore, but in the future I'd suggest more gravy and more aloha from the employees.

Total ripoff place. Kalbi plate was all bones and no meat for $15.95. Do not go here.

Should have remembered the review I posted a few years ago. I tried this place again for lunch. Ordered the pineapple chicken. Now you'd think since you ordered it it would be hot right? No it was lukewarm! The only thing hot was the rice. What the heck? The sauce was tasteless. After I ate a quarter of it, I had a massive msg headache. Stay away from this place. They do not know how to cook

Food was ok but the portion they give is less than generous compared to other Hawaiian places. I got the combo chicken plate and was given one bbq chicken breast cut into strip and same for the chicken katsu. They also added some veggies which was just boiled with no taste at all. However, I did like their BBQ sauce which was not overly sweet.I wouldn’t come back unless I am really craving for Hawaiian and it was the closest options.

I don't understand all the negative reviews! This is one of my go-to spots when I don't know what to eat! Sure they aren't the best, it's mall food! It would be crazy to expect 5 star service or quality! This restaurant however has always delivered decent quality food for a better price than other Hawaiian places I have tried. Their white fish is my favorite item on the menu. I can't really say I have tried anything else to be honest. Their shrimp is pretty solid to. The rice and macaroni always taste top notch! Just as good as anything at Ono Hawaiian, just a couple dollars cheaper! I believe Their price is what gives them a bit of an edge. Some negatives however. They are located in a mall.... so if you don't want to take the time to walk all the way in or you aren't in the mall already, this restaurant may not be worth the trip. Anyways if you are close give them a shot! It's worth the extra steps to me! At least for the white fish

The restaurant was very quick with their food which was great but the food did not have that regular Hawaiian taste that you normally crave for when you're going out for Hawaiian. The portions are pretty big but the price is much more expensive than other Hawaiian restaurants--totally understandable for a mall food court restaurant. Fish was very flat and mainly batter/crust, rib were tasty but cuts were mainly fatty, and the vegetables were not seasoned whatsoever. Shrimp wasn't too bad but the dipping sauces didn't do anything to add great flavor. Macaroni was runny and lacking flavor. Will be not be returning unless significant improvements are made.
