I've passed this place a few times and had mixed feelings. I thought it was kind of sketch to show menus and the prices were blacked out. The place gets pretty busy and a lot of doordash pickups so I figured they must doing something right. The lady who helped me was decent, we ordered:
1. Carne asada wet burrito: Good sized portion and filling
2. Al pastor and carnitas taco: This is not a regular super taco. It's damn near a burrito, it comes with beans and rice in it. I didn't know this and ordered it with no beans. It was massive I couldn't pick it up and started eating it like nachos with the chips. It was almost like a taco salad because it even had lettuce. They did not skimp on the meat or toppings.
I'll definitely be back.

Asada tacos were really good and filled! Asada tasted good. And they give chips and salsa. Not all places do that. Good vibes from the staff. I just stumbled across this spot but glad I didn't listen to the reviews thought it was hella good.

Called in an order for 4 carne asada fries. The lady sounded very unclear, went inside to confirm my order only to pick up my order and receive carne asada plates with a side of fries ?? When talking to her she continued to blame me and refused to help. Spent $80 to get the wrong order.

What a mistake to order here. Taking my order seemed like an inconvenience to the lady at the counter. Food was pricey and tasted like slop.
I order the super tacos and got beans and runny sour cream, wet lettuce.

I was looking for carne asada fries tbh, and i got the nacho fries with carne asada and this thing was sooo heavy and very tasty, probably over 2lbs and for the price it was more than worth worth it. But I didn't like that there were no prices up, they were all blacked out.
I love the food, have been going to this place for a long time. As an experienced taster, this is a hidden gem in DC.

The chile relleno was sloppily made, with some seeds still remaining. The burritos were the worst I have ever eaten. Everything inside the burritos were all so smooshed, that I could barely tell what was inside. I asked for no cilanto. Instead, there were so much cilantros in the burritos that the taste of the meat and salsa got overpowered.
The Choco Flan is worth mentioning, though. Unlike the traditional flan, the chocolate layer added a nice texture balance; and the sweetness was just perfect. I will miss this, since I don't plan to order from this eatery again.

Hi Family. My first time stopping at Iguana Azul and I must tell you the food is off the hook.
Me and my Mom got two tacos each and the tacos are very good.
Not only that but the customer service is amazing.
Now here’s a cool thing.
If you stop by on Tuesday, they have taco Tuesday where you get a taco for only $2.50 and they usually cost $4.00.
These tacos are a good size as you can see I my video,
Now do me a favor, if you decide to stop by iguana Azul let them know that Pastor Dre sent you.
