I grew up in Daly City and the Jade Dragon was our go-to Chinese restaurant forever. It was the place we'd be taken to as kids as a reward and it was also where the family would have get-togethers. One of my fondest memories from that time was going to the dentist, but not because I liked the dentist. My mom would take us to Jade Dragon for Sweet and Sour Chicken and Cashew Chicken after the dentist and that made the horrors of dentistry fade into the joy of Chinese food. Alas, my mother has passed, I moved out of Daly City decades ago and recently moved out of California entirely and like everything in life, change is rampant. To the owners of Jade Dragon, thank you for creating memories and serving delicious food. I hope that your future is full of health and happiness.

So sad they're closing. I grew up on this restaurant. Every Sunday after church, celebrations, parties .. always at Jade! So happy my mom was able to get some food today before they closed. I'll miss this place, all the memories it holds for my family and me and of course their delicious food. Special Shout out to my fav - Beef chow mein gong kong style

Showed up today to pick up some Honey Walnut Prawns for my mom today and there was a sign on the door saying today was their final day. I've been going here since I was a kid. The food has always been awesome, that's why we have been going there for over 40 years. Enjoy your retirement Peggy.

This place has amazing Chinese food. My bfs and I to-go order is always the hot & sour soup with Mongolian beef!! Sadly the restaurant will be closing soon Sunday Feb 28,2022. If you get the chance to read this before they close I definitely recommend to eat here.

Consistently good food! The owners will accommodate your order. I asked for a half order of sweet and sour pork and they did!

Food is at best subpar. Utensils I received were dirty. Better off making Chinese food at home.

Jade Dragon is classic Chinese. Last of the old school places. Where they still have great dishes and treat you like family.

Been going there for years. My staple is eggrolls shrimp fried rice, chow mein, Orange chicken. I love the eggrolls. However I believe the cook has changed because the inside of the eggrolls it’s not as good as it used to be; the eggrolls are obviously different!

I used eat here with my family yrs ago and tonight was the first time in along time since i've been here and still great food and service and the food was really good and the owners were so nice and had the food ready when you ordered on the phone and you are eating or to just pick up to go very fast and greatservice. So if you love hot fresh food and great service then come here and they have a bar area and was popping yesterday on a Friday night and people were just having a great and being happy get out on this warm night and just to enjoy people and getting out from beingin the pandemic in the past 1 yr. Oh and the wife told us they are going retired soon so come here while you have a chance and get some great food and service. Thanks for reading my Review. ~Lizzie~

Came here for lunch and was sad to hear the business has been sold and it's just a matter of time when this eatery will be closing down within a month or 2. So.... with that said, we ordered our usual Shanghai favorites, vegetarian chicken, beancurd and spinach, prawns Shanghai style, fish filet with wine sauce, and fried rice cakes with pork and Napa cabbage. They usually give out the Chinese menu. However, they also have a Shanghainese menu upon request. This a hole in the wall restaurant is a must try before it closes :(

No better place than Jade Dragon. I have lived in the area my whole life and have never had a bad experience - be it take out, delivery, or dining in.

I deeply regret giving this place 1 star, I would've given this place 5 stars for great food , but the service was terrible, specifically this one lady(not the old one) a younger middle age woman, that was rushing us, seemed like she got upset that we ordered more, annoyed that I took awhile paying, and instead of clearing our tables from used plates she put new dishes on top of it, I wouldn't mind if she was just busy, I wpuld understand, but the foul vibe just really ruined the experience to be honest this place will do better if she was gone, she just soured our experience , BTW if you read this , the tip was for the sweet old lady. I hope you leave so I can eat there again.

Planning a reception for mothers memorial, Peggy the manager is soo friendly and accommodating. This establishment has been here for years, and i have been to many receptions here such as my daughter's baptism, birthdays, even went to a debutante reception here, the possibilities are endless. They offer a buffet menu and there's 4 to choose from. Due to pandemic not many restaurants are open but Jade Dragon is a place that my family & friends are familiar with.

Service good. Sat quickly. Tea and menu fast. However! The Shrimp in Seshuan sauce was NOT. Shrimp came in an orange syrupy jelly that had nothing to do with Seshuan (Google it) Obviously, some kind of canned syrup. The older Asian lady who they sent to resolve the issue, (I said I couldn't eat it. Didn't touch it), spoke English and helped me order Shrimp and vegetables, she couldn't describe the sauce, so I took a chance on the exchange. It was a light garlic sauce, corn starchy, still too much, even tho I asked for light sauce. Worked out anyway, cause the BBQ pork was a plate a very plain dyed red slices of pork. It's supposed to be brownish red juicy and crispy from being cooked. Supposed to melt in your mouth with BBQ flavor! This was slices of dried out, maybe thawed, flavorless meat. So. I poured the extra sauce from the shrimp, asked for soy sauce and yellow hot yellow mustard and made do. I know times are tough but, I shouldn't have to ask for condiments. They should be on the table. The green tea was a good quality BUT! BREWED IN BLEACHY TAP WATER.!! PLEASE, Jade Dragon use filtered water for Tea!! Hint; Brita water filter pitcher only $27 bucks. You can get these at Walmart, also one for your Kitchen faucet. Felt like I was served canned and frozen grocery store Chinese imitation. Btw Im white female, have eaten authentic Chinese food for 30 years. In China town SF. Maybe they thot I wanted the secret "white people?" menu? No. I want real Chinese food. please.
