One of my favorite restaurants. All the dishes that I have tried so far are delicious. The Tom Yum soup is delicious and the size is big, it can serve 4 people. Tofu pad thai was delicious. The French toast with banana ais soo good. Can't go wrong with the steak and eggs, also the chicken and waffles.

This place is really cute decor inside. Stopped in here after a hike on Thornton Beach on a Saturday in the early afternoon. The menu is like a mix of Korean and some American items. Everything on the menu sounded good. I ordered the Crispy Rolls, Kan Kiin Scramble and Iced Thai Coffee. Crispy Rolls were pretty crispy and came out quick to eat. My friend ordered the curry and she said it was probably the best curry she'd ever eaten. Dinging for one star because my food didn't come out at the same time as my friends. When we asked one of the servers she seemed grumpy that we asked about the missing plate. The restaurant honestly was not busy, and the waiters/waitresses didn't see to have a sense of urgency for anything. We also had to keep flagging down the waiters because they weren't very attentive to any of the tables. Would return to try more of the menu, wouldn't return for the subpar service we received.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family, and unfortunately, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. From start to finish, our encounter with the service at this establishment was nothing short of disappointing. To begin with, the curry samosas, a dish we were looking forward to trying, turned into a major letdown when we discovered a piece of hair in one of them. Wish we could have taken a pic of it but we really weren't trying to write a negative review at first as we felt maybe they deserved a chance. The corn fritters were over cooked and dry as well as the eggs in the tom yum soup. It was far from being a poached egg. BUT things didn't improve as we progressed through our meal. Not only did they forget to bring the matcha pancakes for the kids, but my order also never made its way to our table. After almost half an hour we decided to cancel my order but still got the pancakes as the kids were starving. We also noticed that the table next to us got their matcha pancakes before us (I had a feeling that was supposed to be for us). Almost forgot to mention that they accidentally put someone else order on our table. We thought it was ours so we ate a piece of it. We watched them take it away and give it to the correct table. We thought that was unacceptable as they should have given that party a whole new dish. Complete turn off. The troubles continued when I requested a to-go box for the remaining food. Shockingly, it took an unreasonable amount of time and persistent inquiries to two different staff members before I finally received one. This lack of efficiency and attentiveness was perplexing, to say the least.Adding to the list of grievances, the restaurant's response to a simple request left much to be desired. I politely asked if they could close the door as it was quite cold inside. Surprisingly, it took two separate requests to different individuals before someone attended to this basic comfort concern. In essence, our visit to this restaurant was damaged by a series of unfortunate incidents, from unappetizing discoveries in our food to a careless attitude towards customer service. It's disheartening to witness such shortcomings in a dining establishment, and I hope that the management takes these issues seriously to improve the overall experience for future patrons. I would not recommend nor come back to this place.

Came in on a late afternoon and everything was good. Not the greatest Thai restaurant that I've had but the food was decent. The service was attentive as there weren't too many people in the place. I recommend this place to people who want to catch up as the ambience is very peaceful and not as lively as you would think. The ambiance is definitely for conversational dinner which I love. Food wise, I'd give everything an overall 7/10. The curry with the roti was the best dish that I had. Unfortunately the mango stick rice was okay. Not the overall best, but it's decent and works!

Super cute place for a fancy Asian fusion brunch, but be prepared to pay $$$ and service is a bit slow. This spot is low key since it's hidden in a strip mall near the Westlake shopping center, but it feels upscale and lush with the green vibes once you're inside. I would recommend to make a reservation if you want to be seated immediately on a weekend. This restaurant is also pretty kid-friendly, about half the tables had a baby or toddler in a high chair! The samosa appetizer was surprisingly tasty: smooth filling and flaky pastry crust. We also tried the fish cake appetizer, I would skip that next time.I got the matcha buttermilk pancakes, which only had a hint of matcha flavor. $6 felt ridiculous for 1 slice of bacon, but it was thiccccc cut and actually the caramelization was pretty good.My husband got the pork belly rice porridge which came with mushrooms, a poached egg and some fried doughnut (just like congee), it was much better once he added some spice.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available

My gf wanted to go because they had Spring Rolls that didn't have shrimp in them. So we went after I got off of work. This place definitely surprised me.The restaurant is small but can hold quite a few people. It has a classy but modern feel to it. My gf liked the mirror decor on the walls and the clean wine glass chandeliers. I liked the furniture they had; it had a woody, simplistic feel to it. The restaurant still had their Christmas decorations up, which was pretty cool. Our server was super nice and she def. worked her butt off the day we went. She was the only server that day and there were quite a few people already there when my GF and I went, so I give her cudos for being able to serve all of us.My GF and I shared the Tofu Spring Rolls & Veggie Samosas, my GF had the Ka Pow Chicken Dish & I had the Green Curry w/ Tofu. I must say everything was delicious. Growing up, I loved my meat. But this was one of the first few times I ordered all veggie dishes and I was surprised at how many vegetarian options this restaurant had. The green curry dish had a kick to it and I liked that the veggies weren't overcooked; there was still a bite to them. I did try my GF's chicken dish and that was tasty as well. She thinks this Basil Thai dish is one of the best from all the Thai restaurants she's been too. Personally, I think the stars of the show were the appetizers. The crust on the samosa's were super flaky and the curry tasted amazing. They also served it with some pickled veggies (cucumbers, carrots, onions & crushed peanuts). I thought the combination of those two was (chef's kiss). I also loved how fresh the tofu spring rolls were and it paired perfectly with the peanut butter dipping sauce. My GF liked that the sauce was served warm. It was a fun time for our palettes. I recommend this spot for groups of people or couples who are going out on a date. This place can hold quite a few people if they want to go on an outing with friends or their families. This place can also hold an intimate space for those going on a date.

My go-to Thai restaurant! The Thai food here is the best I've found in the Bay Area and appropriately priced for the abundance of food provided. My faves:- Fried chicken fried rice - Pad se ewe and pad thai for noodles - Pa-ram and the spicy eggplant for veggies- Green curry There is not one dish ordered here that I did not absolutely enjoy. I come back to try out other offerings. I need to come by for their brunch or lunch. I keep forgetting they have $18 lunch specials. Service is straight forward, attentive, and kind but never overbearing or unsure. Great service. The space is gorgeous for a casual dinner with an elevated feel due to the modern but homey design, ceramic plate ware, and lighting. Only downsides are: 1. street parking is scarce (some park at the Home Depot lot and cross the street and walk up to the restaurant) and 2. the acoustics of the place isn't conducive to a quiet dinner. You can literally hear what a party at the opposite side of the room are discussing with clarity. Other than these two very small inconveniences, I keep coming back for the impeccable food and service.

CUTE & DELICIOUS BRUNCH SPOT. Looking for a last-minute brunch restaurant in Daly City and ended up going to Kan Kiin with a girl friend and we absolutely loved it!AMBIANCE: 4/5. Located in a shopping center, so there was plenty of parking in the front or nearby. As soon as you walk in, you wait to be seated in this open restaurant with cute decorations and a nice ambiance. The only drawback is the inside is small and packed with plenty of seating so the tables can be really close to each other, so very intimate but still a good vibe.SERVICE: 5/5. The staff was friendly, quick with serving us the food, and attentive with refilling our drinks or checking up on us. No issues with the good service.FOOD: 5/5. They've got a huge selection of Thai breakfast & lunch items, ranging from Chicken & Waffles or Matcha Buttermilk Pancakes to some Curry or Pad Thai! I ended up getting the "Kan Kiin" Toast (French toast w/ 2-way banana sweet crème coconut, seasonal berries) & my friend got the Kan Kiin Scramble (scramble w/ bacon, tomatoes, spinach, cheese, salad, & home fries/potatoes), we were both so tasty and packed with flavors, so were both satisfied!OVERALL: 5/5. I don't live in the area, I definitely want to come back and try the Golden Pork (braised pork belly w/ roasted potato, brussels sprouts, & sourdough toast), Roti - Mussaman Beef Chuck Curry, Fresh Crab Fried Rice, and the Ka Pow Thai Spicy Basil. Overall, delicious food!

The staff here are really nice. The ambiance is nice and calm. You have tables along the side of the wall and one large table in the middle. This time, we decided to try the pineapple fried rice, fried chicken and fried rice, and the tom yum soup. The pineapple fried rice has chunks of pineapple, chicken, and shrimp and rasins. The friend chicken fried rice was a bit bland. It comes with a really really sweet syrup for the fried chicken. But we asked for dried chilli which made everything tast delicious. The tom yum soup was my citrus than spicy. But over all pretty good. It had mushrooms, tomato, shrimp and muscles.Would comeback to try their drinks and possibly a noodle dish in the future.

For a novelty brunch location, this place hit the spot. I got the sweet corn cake crab benedict here and it was worth every dollar. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the unique concoction of ingredients actually paired quite well together. I was skeptical of the peanut sauce at first but it was so yummy to dip the potatoes into. We also got an order of the golden pork which was crispy and well marinated and came with brussel sprouts and more potatoes. And definitely get the matcha pancakes while here - not too sweet, it came with matcha syrup on the side and fresh fruit on top. Don't forget to also get some traditional Thai tea or Thai coffee to go with your meal! Not sure that I would eat here for more traditional Thai food (i.e. pad Thai, curry, etc.) as this place is definitely on the pricey side.

Located on Southgate close to Westlake Shopping Center, parking is a hassle. Street parking only and it's always packed in this area. You do have to drive around a bit and maybe get lucky to find parking in residential. Kan Kiin is a cute brunch spot if you don't want your average American style brunch. I love that it's a Thai brunch! This place is good for big groups, dates, or single dine in. There were so many wonderful items to choose from and they also have Thai style cocktails and drinks. I arrived with a party of 7, dined with my cousins and it was a good place to catch up over some good Thai food. They offer $18 lunch special Monday to Friday from 11a-2p. A good deal, you get to choose 2 apps, 1 entree, 1 meat. Our server was nice, and always came by to check on us and refill waters. Drinks / Food order* Meet the Dragon - 4/5 the girls of the group ordered this, it tasted delicious but didn't taste enough alcohol. Loved the fresh dragonfruit!* Pineapple Painkiller - 5/5 sweet and delicious!* Thai Tea - 5/5 can't go wrong* Healthy Granola Bowl and Side Pancake - 5/5 my cousin said it was sooo good and just enough food. All the fruits were fresh and presentation was beautiful. * Samosa Curry Puff - 5/5 shared amongst everyone, very warm and comforting.* Golden Pork - 5/5 cousin ate everything, no crumbs left.* Hat Yai Fried Chicken and Waffle - 5/5 chicken cooked perfect, had good crunch and the waffle was slightly sweet. Beautiful presentation!* Drunken Noodles - 5/5 so much flavor, sister said it tasted more of a Pad See Ew.* Sweet Corn Crab Cake Benedict - 5/5 very good!* Pineapple Fried Rice - 5/5 tasty, can't go wrong* Fried Chicken over Fried Rice - 5/5 chicken has a good crunch, good portion
