I can't help but feel a little sad from our most recent experience here at the koi palace. It's customary for the place to be extremely busy, there's nothing wrong with that. It does seem like the atmosphere and the quality of the food has changed since going through the pandemic. I recall when we would order chrysanthemum tea and it would be loose leaf tea with big flowers steeping in the pot. Now it's just a simple tea bag. There used to be tons of waitstaff...

This Koi Palace has been around a long time, at least since the late 90's, and they have plenty of awards and publications to show for it. In terms of atmosphere, it feels more old school than the new/modern type of dimsum restuarants.
