This location is severally lacking compared to other locations. There is less meat than other locations. There are no fries in the gryo sandwich like other locations. They charge for sauces and other locations do not.I like Nick the Greek just not this location.

I love Nick The Greek restaurants because of their Gyro Bowls. Oh man, I'm getting hungry just THINKING about 'em right now!So why three stars? Well, settle in and I'll tell ya.The store itself is very conveniently located in the same shopping center as a Sprouts supermarket and a Total Wine & More superliquorstore. ;-) The space is fairly well-balanced, with a good amount of seating and an open kitchen. However, when I ordered my usual Beef/Lamb Gyro Bowl that I've gotten at other Nick The Greek branches, the meat shavings at this branch were all dry & crispy as though they'd let the meat sit under the heat lamp for a long time. Usually when I get a Lamb/Gyro Bowl, the meat is nice & tender. Not sure what happened at this store, but because of this I don't think I'm going to come back here anymore. :-(

I really wanted to like this place. I love the Greek music they play. And the restaurant looks very clean. But they're tzatziki sauce taste like honey mustard. It's not even white like Greek yogurt should be. The tomatoes were old ,the lettuce was old the onions were old and from the very end of The Onion so they were dry. I understand that you have to spread your ingredients out but don't pass on Old food to your customers. The result of that is this was my first time at your restaurant and it will be my last. There's just no excuse for serving old mushy Tomatoes dried out onions and tzatziki sauce that taste like honey mustard. And it was way too much sauce.Greek food is supposed to taste fresh and Lively and tzatziki sauce is supposed to be garlicky and smooth and white and cool to go with the spicy meat. Are you sure you guys are Greek?

Hey! Just wanted to share that we tried Nick the Greek in Daly City, and it was amazing. The souvlaki plates and Gyro bowl were incredibly delicious. The staff is super friendly. It reminded me of the authentic taste from Greece. Check it out if you get a chance!

The service was really good. Cashier was friendly and nice. Food was really poor in my opinion. I had a chicken pita wrap and fries. Fries were bland and greasy above all else. Really my main issue with this mean was the pita wrap. It was drowning in mayo or garlic aioli whatever they want to call it. I couldn't finish the wrap. I threw half of it away before I made me sick. If your meat is good don't drown it in mayo! I literally couldn't taste anything but this mayo sauce.

We came here on a Saturday late afternoon. The service was friendly and the food came out pretty fast. The tables were not wiped down though and they were out of a few drinks on their machine, plus they didn't have any sweetener for the bottle of plain iced tea. They also don't offer sparkling water. The Falafels were tasty and fried well. They were not oily. The Hummus was too grainy for our liking. Both the Chicken and Gyro Bowls were really good and were pretty big. If you like rice, to they do include a lot of it. My son loved his kids Pork Belly Bowl that included a side of fries.

Gyro Chicken Salad = a bowl of spinach + ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I drove 20 minutes to my nearest Nick the Greek and got home for nothing but disappointment. For $12 you may have a bowl of spinach and a pita (no chicken gyro, no salad dressing). I called and spoke with two people, neither of whom had a reasonable solution. No, I dont want to drive 20 miles to pick up the salad I ordered. The manager, Stephanie is inexperienced at best. This is not the first time they have botched our dinner order. I guess if I want to receive what I order and pay for, i'll have to go the the San Mateo location. Gellert is not the spot for receiving what you order or a solution-oriented manager. Note to ownership: There are a lot of food options in the area. If you'd like to remain in business, you may want to better train your staff.
