Never had a bad meal at Joe's Westlake and last night was no exception. It was crowded, joyful, a true people watchers paradise. The food was excellent as was the service. Nice to know a place from.your childhood still maintains the same quality while updating the ambiance to meet the needs of the current times.
My family and I went for lunch. My son and I had the Joe's special. My husband had the Rueben and my daughter had the Benedict with polenta which was delicious. We all liked our meals. All of us took home leftovers and had them for dinner the next night. We shared the d7onuts which were served warm. The serving is for four. We always enjoy Westlake Joe's I highly recommend it. Be sure to make a reservation.
Ordered Calamari Steak , finished with a Gino n Carlo Chip Shot and Amazing butter cake. Service by Paige and crew was outstanding
Our server was well-versed on the menu and helped us with our selection, which made lunch perfect. Original Joe's is an institution and they know how to do it right.
It's the best spot in town for all the reasons -- delicious food, great drinks, friendly service, fantastic ambience. Joe's is my happy place.
Server was persistent in getting our order and not giving us the time we asked to make our lunch choices. After our order was placed the drinks arrived promptly followed by our lunch order. One of us required additional condiments and had to ask three times and our water just passed by and did not stop, finally got the attention of an other server to make the request. We had a billing snafu as we were charged for the wrong table but it was corrected just before we were leaving the restaurant. Maybe this why a server tried to give us another tables lunch order. It's going to take a lot convincing from others for me to return to this restaurant.
Beautiful experience with SF-based family. Who could imagine "Joe's" from decades ago would evolve into this amazing place.
Food was amazing as usual. Came for my brothers 40th birthday. Service and food were top notch as always. One of my top 3 favorite restaurants
We had such a great experience! Armando was an amazing server — attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel welcome. He checked in at just the right times, made sure everything was perfect, and offered great recommendations. The food and atmosphere were already wonderful, but his service really made the visit special. We'll definitely be back and hope to be seated in his section again!
The food is always good here. Portions are big. We had a great server named Lola who was attentive and fun.

Always a great meal at Joe's. Service a plus also. It's really an enjoyable experience in every way!
This is an excellent place to eat . I take friends here often as i can always count on great food , great service , everyone is friendly , bathrooms clean . If you need a quiet place go mid afternoon during the week . Dont pass up this amazing experience
I've never had a bad dining experience here, consistently good food and service always make you feel welcome. Great memories over the years.
We didn't wait long to be seated. The free bread, Calamari and chicken Ceasar salad for appetizers were good. One person ordered the spicy rigatoni which she liked. We ordered mashed potatoes, broccoli for sides. Someone ordered the sole filets which were good. Another person had the ribeye which they thought was undercooked and chewy. The prime rib was undercooked and chewy as well. The mashed potatoes and crème of spinach were good though. We went here for someone's birthday request but wouldn't order the same things.
Joe's is my go to restaurant. I love it. But on this visit they really fell short. I made a reservation for a birthday dinner and was sat at a table in the very loud Cascade room and right across from the kitchen. We spent the evening listening to the pots and pans clanging around. More importantly, however, our server was absent and all but forgot about us. After we were served water and bread for the table, it was another 20-30 minutes before he greeted us and took our drink and app order. Apps arrived and we were almost finished before the drinks arrived. I don't think the bar was backed up but rather I think the server forgot to place the drink order. It was another 30 minutes or so before he returned to take everyone's entree order. We also ordered a 2nd drink. Entrees came out Luke warm...again I feel like he forgot to bring them to our table as they obviously sat under a warming lamp. We were almost finished eating when he returned with our 2nd drinks. The table was cleared and we didn't see him again until I flagged him find to ask for a desert menu. And when he did talk to us at the table, he was distracted with other tables taking to the busers and/ or other servers. This was the worst service I've ever experienced at Joe's and it really put a damper on our celebration. Of course I'll go back to Joe's —I love the place. I'm just hoping this was a one off night.
