Food wasn't bad but nothing memorable, overly sauced. Pancake wasn't crispy. Could be alot better, sorry.

Beautiful presentation of food, sauces were tasty, cool open layout, had to circle around to find entrance though. Drinks took a while to get. Matcha butter and bread was my favorite

Food was delicious; very tasty, lots of interesting flavors. All complimented and accentuated the other, while none over powered. Wait staff was attentive and manager went out of his way to make sure our experience was enjoyable. Overall, it met our expectations

The service was abysmal. All the wait staff is clearly incompetent and clumsy. We had to repeat a single drink order because the waitress went and talk to other waitstaff in front of us and then turned around to ask what we ordered. They apologized for mixing up the order with another table on a preset menu which delayed our meal. We had to ask multiple people for water throughout service and only got it twice. Our waitress almost spilled stuff at our table so we helped stack plates for her. I will not come back just for the service alone.

we enjoyed our Christmas lunch with their holiday prefix menu. They were all very delicious. Hope to do it again next year thank you Pogu have a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year for 2026.

Enjoyed everything but the scallop (too bland) and the dessert (could not break into the cream, it was as hard as a rock).

This is my second time eating at POGU and the food is excellent. The first time I went, I ordered a la carte and second time, I ordered a course set menu. Food is great, however compared to the level of food, the service does not match up. Front of house is very sweet, kind and polite, however you can tell with the servers that this is fairly a new restaurant and they don't have a chemistry yet. In both occasions, simple drink orders arrived after the food. I don't understand why this was so slow in both occasions. Unlike the kitchen team that seem like they have a flow, they don't have the same level with the servers. That's is my only criticism, but the food is honestly amazing.

Impromptu visit at Pogu and was very impressed with both food presentation and service. We ordered their Holiday Special offer $85 for 2 (limited serving to only 40 sets per day) available from 12/19-12/25 only. Servings were just enough to fill your stomach and not overstretch the pants! Yelp review 5 stars all the way!!

Overall the food was tasty but not exceptional. The tofu seafood stew was good but not special when compared to a local Korean small tofu restaurant I usually frequent. We had the grilled mackerel which was very tasty with a nice presentation. The vegetables rice dish was different with a nice blend of vegetables and we would order again. The dessert selection was very limited to just two, had the shaved ice with a small spoonful of strawberry ice cream. Not impressed with the taste and lacked “pizzazz “. A simple scoop of strawberry ice cream would have suffice. Service was not attentive especially when the restaurant was not very crowded with other guests.

We asked for recommendations to our server, Junho. He was very professional. He asked what we wanted and shared his opinions and other customers' preferences so that we could make informed decision. The service was splendid. We enjoyed everything he recommended. All of the dishes had delicate taste profiles and they were not like any other Korean dishes that I can find in the bay area! Highly recommend the buckweat noodles!

POGU is a boujee Korean restaurant smack dab in the center of Jagalchi market. For the price (~$30 for a dish) I expected much more. Portions were small, almost laughably so. Flavors were just alright. I couldn’t find anything to justify the price, hence docking a star.

Wow, this is really the worst. For other menu items besides stew soup, you have to order rice separately for $3 each. The taste is really terrible. It's more expensive than La, tastier, and absurd. The trip to San Francisco is a mess. From the first meal.

Everything was excellent. I’ll be back for the gang win buckwheat noodles, it was very memorable. The portions were very big for the price and we had a great time!

I was really excited to try this new Korean restaurant in Daly City, as it was supposed to be manned by a Michelin chef. However, I was very disappointed by the food, as it did not live up to the hype. Menu was surprisingly limited, portions were small, and the flavors were just very average. I have had much better authentic Korean dining experiences in the South Bay and San Mateo. Not worth the drive for me. Fast and friendly service. Large free parking lot.

We got the Chef's pick. They seemed to have ironed out all the wrinkles from their grand opening with service. Server was attentive, brought out each dish one-by-one and introduced and described the dishes. He monitored our table and served the next course after the previous course was cleared from the table. Yes, it is pricey and yes, you don't get lot of food/value. But that's generally the case with fine dining establishments and especially the case with a tasting menu. It is not meant to stuff you to the gills but allows you taste and experience the chef's creation/creativity. It is definitely unique and doesn't resemble traditional Korean food found in a traditional Korean restaurant.
