My husband and I just didnt like that the food we ordered had stuff in it the menu item didn't describe. My husband ordered a dish with abalone but it didn't say it was going to be raw and just seared at the top (he hates raw stuff). My soybean paste stew said it would have fish cakes. I ate most of it and it was just tofu, mushrooms and potatoes then I dip my spoon deep and an entire half a crab comes out. I know some people would like that but it just put me super off. It bothers me to have several hands coming out of my soup when I didn't expect it. I also had a couple slices of hard outer covering of onion in my broth I had to pull out of my mouth. Lastly there were only like 5 families there on a Friday night at 7 and we waited for our check for like 20 min maybe more until I was able to flag her down. Main negative is just better descriptions of food. Even the banchan had fermented squid which isnt a usual for me at korean restaurants and no one explained what it was. Chat GPT helped me lol
My partner and I went to visit Pogu to celebrate Valentine's Day and tried their Valentine's pre-fixed menu. Everything was delicious and the portion size was so generous that we had enough leftovers for the next day! We really enjoyed the season's drinks that came with the set! We were also surprised by a staff member giving out roses! It definitely added to the romantic atmosphere and we left full. We will definitely return to try other food on the menu!
We made the reservations at 315pm and after we sat down we were informed that everyone in the kitchen its going on break at 330pm. felt rush to order. we couldn't do the chefs choice.
Great experience overall. The server Junho made the experience extra special. He explained the food, how to eat and made recommendations. He was very attentive and checked on us frequently to ensure that we are having a good time. The restaurant and the food is excellent, but Junho made it so much better because he explained the dishes which we were not familiar with. We had a great time, thank you :)
We celebrated my sister's 38th birthday here and it didn't disappoint at all! Amazing service and food! ❤️
We had a wonderful dinner. The food is outstanding except for the “pork belly” which is a little tough. The waiter is awesome, very helpful and cheerful. Overall, thumbs up to Pogu. We will comeback again.
We had a great time at Pogu. It was a culinary adventure. Our waiter was terrific and helped us select dishes since we were previously only familiar with Korean BBQ. We loved the food and even tried a low alcohol Korean fermented beverage we had never heard of. The whole thing felt like being on a faraway vacation.
Food wasn't bad but nothing memorable, overly sauced. Pancake wasn't crispy. Could be alot better, sorry.
Beautiful presentation of food, sauces were tasty, cool open layout, had to circle around to find entrance though. Drinks took a while to get. Matcha butter and bread was my favorite
Food was delicious; very tasty, lots of interesting flavors. All complimented and accentuated the other, while none over powered. Wait staff was attentive and manager went out of his way to make sure our experience was enjoyable. Overall, it met our expectations

The service was abysmal. All the wait staff is clearly incompetent and clumsy. We had to repeat a single drink order because the waitress went and talk to other waitstaff in front of us and then turned around to ask what we ordered. They apologized for mixing up the order with another table on a preset menu which delayed our meal. We had to ask multiple people for water throughout service and only got it twice. Our waitress almost spilled stuff at our table so we helped stack plates for her. I will not come back just for the service alone.
we enjoyed our Christmas lunch with their holiday prefix menu. They were all very delicious. Hope to do it again next year thank you Pogu have a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year for 2026.
Enjoyed everything but the scallop (too bland) and the dessert (could not break into the cream, it was as hard as a rock).
This is my second time eating at POGU and the food is excellent. The first time I went, I ordered a la carte and second time, I ordered a course set menu. Food is great, however compared to the level of food, the service does not match up. Front of house is very sweet, kind and polite, however you can tell with the servers that this is fairly a new restaurant and they don't have a chemistry yet. In both occasions, simple drink orders arrived after the food. I don't understand why this was so slow in both occasions. Unlike the kitchen team that seem like they have a flow, they don't have the same level with the servers. That's is my only criticism, but the food is honestly amazing.
Impromptu visit at Pogu and was very impressed with both food presentation and service. We ordered their Holiday Special offer $85 for 2 (limited serving to only 40 sets per day) available from 12/19-12/25 only. Servings were just enough to fill your stomach and not overstretch the pants! Yelp review 5 stars all the way!!
