The staff’s attitude was extremely unprofessional and this was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. On top of that, forcing customers to pay in a specific way is completely unacceptable. If the bill is under $10, you make people pay cash. If it’s over $10, you only allow card. That is not the restaurant’s right to dictate how customers must pay. This policy is frustrating, disrespectful, and needs to be corrected immediately if you expect customers to ever come back.

Very disappointing experience. The staff were rude and unprofessional. Even worse, the restaurant forces customers to pay cash for bills under $10 and only card for bills over $10. This policy is unfair and makes the whole experience feel disrespectful. Definitely needs improvement.

The staff here behave as if they really don't want to work here. They are so consistently rude and unfriendly towards their customers that I genuinely wonder if they were either trained to be this way, or are mistreated (underpaid or overworked) by the company. The quality of the pastries is just about average and not worth the poor service.

They quite blatantly treat potential customers differently based on appearances and sometimes have turned customers (myself included) away before closing hours despite having plenty of baked goods left to sell. Older and younger staff are equally unfriendly, often directing customers to other lines without explanation.

There are so many good bakeries in the area with friendly and helpful staff (and frankly tastier or better pastries) that I’d rather drive out of my way to one of them than go here again.

Unguilty Indulgence. Less sugar sweet. Yet taste like a cloud. I will ask for my next half-sheet to have fruit every where, not just the edges.

Very bad service, on Tuesday Aug 26 afternoon we Walk in to buy birthday cake and we requested him to put a Happy Birthday on the cake he replied ok when we got home open the box it doesn't have words Happy Birthday on the cake. And another person I told him we want to buy a cake he just ignored us just walked away, what kind of service is that, I hope the management should train their stuffs in good manner.

They require $10 minimum for cards. Disappointing considering we live in a card culture. I’ll be back but a little bitter.

One of my go to weekly location to get pastries for mom. She loves their baked pork buns, and I like the cream coconut bun, or their cocktail bun. Sometimes, I would buy their shredded pork bun. During birthdays or special occasions, I also would buy their cakes like the tiramisu, mocha cake or their fruit tarts. Their cakes are not too sweet at all nor have too much whipped cream unlike other pastries locations.

Was at this bakery and accidentally lined up in the wrong spot. A staff member told me to move to the correct line, which I did. No problem. But the guy behind me, who also lined up in the wrong place, didn’t get told anything — and they went ahead and served him at the register while I was still waiting in the proper line.

I couldn’t help but notice he was white and I’m not. Maybe that wasn’t the reason, but the difference in how we were treated didn’t sit right with me. I ended up walking out without buying anything. Just felt like I was treated unfairly.

Sheng Kee has a lot of locations throughout the bay. Their buns are OK and tend to run on the smaller side. I do like how they open early at 7am and have warm pastries. Today I got ham & egg bun $2.75, Vietnamese sandwich $5.85, bbq pork flick $2.55 and 2x chicken pie $2.25. They were OK, not great. The worst was their version of a "Vietnamese" sandwich.

I went to order a boba tea and for some reason the worker (a shorter asian woman with black hair) kept talking to me as if I didn't know what I was ordering and was talking to me like I was stupid, which seemed to be simply because I'm a Latina woman.
She kept questioning everything I was trying to order, and then tried to get me to go to starbucks instead which would literally cost me an extra 4 dollars for the same drink.
Overall she was just rude and came off very racist, and the experience with her just ruined my day.
