I love coming to Val's - especially if my waitress is Fua! She is such a delight and always gives the best service. She is super attentive and you can tell that she loves working at Val's - please ask for her if you can! We ordered the fried calamari, Caesar salad, rib eye steak, halibut, apple pie, and cheesecake. Everything was fabulous! I've also ordered their prime rib from here and it's delicious. Let me start by saying I've dined at Val's once before for a dinner when my friend was in town and it was awesome! This time I stopped in for lunch and boy I was not disappointed. I ordered their French Dip (house specialty from their prime rib) and oh man was it good. Comes with fries and a salad and I was in sandwich heaven. I also love this spot as it's all locals and very neighborhood-centric. It's comfortable, you can park there, the food is great and the service is amazing...read full review
A co-worker asked me if I wanted to meet here for some meat. I said yes. Literally I have wanted to eat here for decades. My wife did not want to eat here-I won't mention why. My NY steak was excellent as were the potates-au-gratin. The creamed spinach was good. My manhattan up was very enjoyable. I am glad I finally made it!
