Beautiful view with very good food. I was honestly expecting typical beach fare (hamburger, hot dog, fries...) and while these things are on the menu they're very well done and the menu has much more to offer! Great find!
The snack bar at Doheny has changed hands a lot in my lifetime, but Cafe del Sol is beyond what you would ever expect from beach food. They have typical beach faire, but also have delicious Mexican food. We have been here a few times since they reopened and have loved their burgers and fries, nachos, and the kids loved their corndogs ... hand-dipped corn doggies, none of that frozen nonsense! They have a nice selection of beer and wine that must be consumed on the patio. The service...
I went to Cafe del Sol at Doheny last night and LOVED it! My tostada was fresh & delicious and only $8.99. Was stoked they had a couple ciders on hand because I'm not a beer or wine drinker. Hoping they bring the pineapple cider on fulltime, so yummy! Wait staff was awesome, very attentive. Met Robert Jr, super sweet guy and seems very excited about their new venture. As much as I miss Boneyard Cafe like the rest of you, Cafe del Sol will be just as fun. The acai bowls...
