We love this family owned business- a hidden gem in Dana point
Hidden jem. Literally the best Mexican food around. Like Javier's without the ridiculous pricing. Fun atmosphere, lots of TV's and great staff. Good for both watching a game or families.
WOW ! Blown away with the wonderful food and service. We ordered guacamole and chips and it was the BEST fresh guacamole I've EVER had. The Short Rib Ramen Soup was amazing, our drinks were perfect and the service was great as well. We will definitely be coming back... alot !
Did Trolly Crawl. Great service, good food and drink
This is a great place to catch any sports event. The staff are great, and the food is absolutely awesome for the price point. The service and atmosphere make it hard to watch sports at home...
I like this place, I’m usually there once a week. 👍
Super cool spot! Food was really good. Good portions and full of flavor. Very friendly staff. Lots of TV's for football. Dog friendly 😁

Hats off to Chef Mike (microwave). Food was bland and was basically kicked out. Was planning on watching the afternoon games but as soon as I finished eating my waitress dropped off the check with out me asking.

Tish and her team (Cali Costa Catering) catered our 160 person wedding at Skunk Train in Sept 2024.
We could not have been happier with Tish and her team. She carefully took our menu preferences into account, and created a delicious feast for us. Her team went above and beyond to deliver on the wedding of our dreams.
Skunk Train is a train in only venue, requiring Tish to load everything onto train cars to be hauled in and out. Our venue also required a full galley (kitchen build) from the ground up, and their own power and fuel sources to be brought in.
Tish didn't bat an eye at this, nor our extensive dietary restrictions and meal requests, specifically the mac and cheese bake we wanted. Our request for salmon presented some challenges to, and in order to ensure it was as fresh and cost effective as possible, Tish researched and came back to us with creative and out of the box ideas on how to cook. This level of innovation she brought to all of her work was evidenced and wonderful.
Our wedding guests continue to tell us daily about how much they loved each of our dishes, and how impressed they were with the quality, temperature and thought that went into each dish Tish prepared.
THANK YOU Tish for creating such a delicious and memorable feast and all that it brought to our special day.

The food was really good! We had a large group. And they only had one server helping us. So it took a very long time to get our food.

Solid spot for fish tacos. They are also dog friendly.
Margarita was ok, I think it could have been better especially so close to the coast and with a good menu.

I really enjoyed sitting down here and having a bite. You will notice that when everyone sees their burritos for the first time, the server goes, “Yah man, our burritos are yuuuuge.”They are huge, come with an army ready to demolish if you dare.

Food, service and atmosphere were good. They always have the doors open, so I’m cold every time we go there.

I came here with my boyfriend and he got the avocado shrimp roll and it was delicious. We loved it. Then he got the cali surf tacos. All tacos delicious. The Consome was water down but still had some flavor. It was okay. I got the pork pozole has good flavor. It is not authentic Mexican food but has good flavor and enjoy the food. There’s TVs all over and has a good atmosphere.

I love Cali Costa! This is a great neighborhood restaurant to come hang out at. The outdoor patio and outdoor bar area is perfect for our California weather and is dog friendly. The owners and all the staff are super nice and friendly. Their food is really good too. The owners have spent quite an effort over the years since opening, to continue to refine their menu and recipes to include tasty and quality recipes. Some of my favorites are the chili relleno, short rib taquitos, and the nachos. On Tuesdays, tacos are only $3.99 each and there’s a big selection. I’m looking forward to coming back many times and trying their entire menu.
