I went there the other day for the first time and had some sushi. It was probably one of the best sushi places in Laguna Niguel. It was very delicious. I ordered the dragon sushi, baked scallop and baked salmon. The service was fast. I highly recommend this location. I will definitely go back.

Best sushi! They prepared our food very fast, within 5 minutes of ordering. Everyone is very kind, and always asks what they can do. Defiantly a must go sushi spot.Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetarian dishes like vegetable tempura.Kid-friendliness: It’s a very calm place, but at the same time modern and clean.
This is the best overall Japanese restaurant in the area. Great selection and quality of non-sushi/sashima 9/10, good sushi/sashimi 9/10, excellent value 10/10, ambiance 9/10. Guaranteed you'll be a customer.Only downside is wait time for in-dining and takeouts. But then again, that's one aspect I accept since this is the best in the area!

The BEST SUSHI in Dana Point - and in the OC that I’ve ever had! I loved how you can taste the freshness of the fish with each bite. The flavors of each roll were so delicately balanced and well seasoned that I did not even need to dip each piece in the soy sauce on the side. Every order we tried was unique in its flavor profile and kept you wanting to take another bite. I like how they use a thin layer of rice with the rolls and were generous in their portions of the fish/other ingredients. I LOVED every single item we ordered and especially the Yellowtail Carpaccio and the Jeff Special no-rice roll. Their Matcha Ice Cream and Coppa Pistachio desserts were both wonderful and not too sweet! 10/10 would recommend! Visited once during lunch and during dinner and at both times the service was fast and the servers were so friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely keep coming back when I’m in the area.

The servers were amazing and the food came out extremely quickly. The food itself was amazing with a great variety of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. We were sightseeing in Dana Point and found this great Japanese restaurant. It’s located in a small shopping area with plenty of parking. We ordered 3 or 4 items you can pick from a menu for $16 or $21 where it offered many great options. We picked rainbow rolls, spicy tuna, sushi rolls, tiger rolls & tempura, We also ordered a bento box. The food presentation was excellent, sushi was very fresh, service was very prompt. It was a perfect lunch!

Dana Kai is a nice Sushi Spot in Dana Point. I had some cucumber salad and wine to start off before getting some cucumber and avocado rolls with spicy Mayo. Everything was very tasty! My overall meal didn't cost so much due to the type of sushi I ordered. The parking is somewhat big so parking shouldn't be an issue. The service was decent, but could be slightly better in regards to being attentive but overall good.
