Awesome little local beer bar. Modest, but great selection of beer. I always felt a friendly welcome every time I go in. Christian, who owns the place is great, and always recommends good choices for whatever your palate is feeling. My favorite place for beer in town!

I can’t say enough good things about Dana Point Ale House. From the moment you walk in, it feels like the kind of place where everyone belongs. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming — perfect for catching up with friends and families.

Their beer selection is truly impressive, with a thoughtful variety of local and regional craft brews that are always rotating, so there’s something new to try every time. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to make a recommendation based on your taste. You can tell they really care.

Beyond the drinks, the vibe makes this spot stand out. It’s laid-back without ever feeling too crowded or loud, and you can feel the community energy — it’s clearly a local favorite. Whether you’re a craft beer aficionado or just dipping your toes into trying new things, Dana Point Ale House is the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to.

Highly recommend!

Went there for Oktoberfest. Nice friendly staff, great beers.. Had a bratwurst next door at a popup. The sitting area is next to a tiny dog park so I was able to run my dog while having a beer.
Nice location, park in the strip mall next door or on the street

We were camping at Doheny and found this California micro beer place close by. Enjoyed it very much. Very nice guy who is the owner. Love Dana Point. Not so much with the yuppy, modern new downtown...but heh, at least there's a micro beer place there...
