It's a dive!!! I mean this in a good way though. Worn out, run down, but fun locals, cold beer at a decent price. It's a bit rough, but most of the people seemed harmless. Don't expect too much and it will always be just enough. š šŗ š»
Bartender Nicole kicks butt!! Her bar etiquette is like no other and she keeps the locals coming for more!! So, when in south Oc and feeling like great conversation, darts and billiards, come on over to Doheny saloon-Nicole has got you covered!!

Walked in found a spot. Bartender came by and cleared an empty glass from my spot then went to the other end of the bar. Guy next to me even said, āI guess sheās ignoring youāI finally got a beer and slammed it down and got out.Itās actually pretty common in these little places. They cater to the regulars not someone they donāt know.

Great place to go if you want a good cold beer and to meet some very friendly locals! Iām a solo traveler and always check out the local watering holesā¦. so far in my travels, This is my favorite one!! The bartender welcomed me the minute that I walked in and included me in conversations. Lots of laughs and overall a fun evening!! No food but the very attentive and kind bartender took it upon herself to bring in homemade tacos for taco Tuesday free for all patronsā¦. They were amazing !! if youāre looking for some friendly people to hang out with and a fully stocked bar this is your place!!!
