The food here is excellent quality and worth the price. But after our sweet, kind waitress attempted to open my bottle of wine I brought, the cork unfortunately broke into pieces because of the stainless steel corkscrews they employ here. They tried blaming the vintage (2013 not old enough for that sorry) but I was polite enough and when the manager said that that is just what happens with older corks, and they proceeded to run it through a bleached coffee filter which destroys vintage wines but I digress..I explained that the corkscrews they use are not the best for REAL cork oak. She tells me “ well next time bring your own opener and you can open it “. Despite this advice that was delivered in a challenging tone of voice(a little unprofessional and unwarranted really) I was respectful and said I would. They waived the corkage ($15) and brought us some complementary bubbles which was nice but the bottles retail value is $50 and I felt they could have maybe waived our $6 appetizer or something but all in all the food is excellent and the waitress was professional, I guess next time I will take the managers advice and open it myself next time.

One of my favorite local spots. The food is always on point and fresh. The service is always great. Go for breakfast and get some incredible pastries. They’re delicious and they rotate the selection constantly which makes it fun. Their pasta is made in house, so we love going for dinner as well. I’ve tried several of the pasta dishes and I’ve never been disappointed. I could ramble on forever. Just make reservations (you have to call at least 24 hours in advance) and leave a little extra time to park. The lot in the back is small and if you can’t find a spot there, you’ll need to street park.

NYC meets Rome in the bustling seaside enclave of Dana Point... at this uber trendy (and rightfully so) followup to Maison... delight in heavenly Short Rib, Enormous Salads with homemade dressings sold in the small market within. See and be seen and remind yourself these are not LA prices but the food particularly the Fishes that often come with a Garlicky White Bean Cassoulet, here Ragu, or the Neopolitan Pizzas.. Giana is currently serving the tastiest freshest (at least 6 home made pastas daily) in the City and arguably in South OC. Dishes are deceivingly simple often employing few ingredients but tasting of dozens. Art on a plate is not a stretch.

Five star food and service in every regard, but one star for their old school reservation process. It drives me nuts that you have to call (no online) and they will not take same-day reservations even when they have availability. It’s such a bummer because we would eat here more often if we could book online or call the same day. I understand same day on a weekend might be tough but on a Tuesday night?? I don’t get it. The owner is so delightful and hopefully she reads reviews and will take the feedback to heart because we love everything else about this lovely restaurant.

Amazing food/menu!! The Eggs Pomodoro was delightfully unique as a breakfast option. At the suggestion of our server, I added crumbled sausage to the dish. Wow!

We came in at the tail end of lunch service to meet friends and asked if we could order ahead for them. We explained that our guest would not arrive until after lunch service ended but we knew what they wanted and wanted to confirm that we could stay to eat. The waitresses were very kind and accommodated our request. We were never rushed nor felt weird to be there during their closed hours. We had three different people help us through that time and were never forgotten.I believe this speaks high volumes to the type of hospitality Giana Bakery & Provisions provides. The mushroom risotto was the best risotto I’ve ever had in my life. my partner had a Cacio e Pepe type pasta with a poached egg. Although simple, he felt it was very well executed. Our friends both ordered salads, which were graciously huge.I would come back and would like to try other items when they are actually opened for service. Thanks for the great meal!

Several winners on the menu.Meatballs - so tender and the sauce is soft and well balanced. One order comes w three meatballs and several slices of bread for dipping into the marinara.Pizettes - pollo and alla are amazing and the portion is large enough for two to share.Chopped salad is good but the last two times the dressing hasn’t been balanced and felt more oily than balanced with vinegar.Lattes here are incredible. I highly recommend the lavender cinnamon syrup.Wheelchair accessibility: ADA Compliant

My wife and I held our Wedding Dinner Gianna’s and had the absolute best time! We had about 50 people and fit perfectly in the restaurant. The owner was so very accommodating and her and the staff went ABOVE and beyond making sure everyone had the best time celebrating. The food was INCREDIBLE. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great it was.We could not have been more happy with how everything turned out. Thank you for capping our wedding weekend with the best experience and we would recommend this place to anyone. You won’t regret it!
