Harbor House Cafe

I first ate at the Harbor House Cafe in 1978. It's still pretty much the same!

I love the decor. All the old movie posters and pictures of actors are really cool. I came for breakfast and had the French toast combo. Food was pretty good. The bacon was a bit crispy. Service was good.

Love the atmosphere and vibes. Best place to come after surfing at the beach.

We were down for a beach day and the food here was the best and you can tell it is handmade on order compared to other shops in the area. The fish and chips, fried chicken, and ice cream are to die for.

Classic California Diner. Big portions, good food, and a friendly staff.

We were there Sunday evening. No service for abut 20'. We were about to leave, but a waitress finally came and gave us the menu. Another 15' wait! There was only two other couples when we were there. I ordered breakfast even though it was in the evening. Hash brown was really greasy, my corn beef hash was probably left over (canned). Terrible food and service. Will not go there again.

This was by far the nastyist food I have had in years it was like cafeteria food. It was so gross. Don’t order their chicken. It taste like rubber and then their vegetables are like what you would get in a hospital room. Food is so disgusting. I will never go to this place again.

This is a local tradition that we visit every time we are in town. Great breakfast comfort food, generous portions, all served with a smile and bottomless diner coffee in a white china mug you expect. Movie and general Hollywood memorabilia everywhere you look. Scrambled eggs with authentic chorizo is my go-to!

Whoever answered the phone at 11:01 AM on 10/13/24 should learn proper customer service. I called to ask if they were busy and what the wait time was and the lady gave me attitude and said “we’re a restaurant, of course we’re busy” then immediately hung up the phone. I’ve called countless of restaurants asking the same question and I have never been given attitude like that ever. This cafe has been on my list and I have been wanting to try it, but considering their staff doesn’t even know basic customer service, I’m sure they spit in their customer’s food if they get any bad wind at all.
