We found this spot after driving around Dana point - not too many coffee shops around the area. The reviews looked decent so we gave it a shot . Aesthetics are nice it has a library inside and some seating inside and outside . The girl at the front knew nothing about coffee or to recommend anything which I found odd . We tried an iced americano- it was so watery we asked her to make it again and she kindly did . It wasn’t filled up all the way kind of a rip off for the price...
Delicious coffee! Very well balanced, not over processed, minor gripe with sediment in my drink which should not happen in properly prepared lattes but still had a great flavor. Still recommend and I hope a one off occurrence.
I visit Dana Point frequently, but this was my first time to J C. Beans. Despite the 4.5 stars it has, I did not feeling the coffee was all that great. It was not super flavorful and the Americano (one of two drinks we purchased) was the smallest I've seen for close to $5. The breakfast burrito was actually quite good and the atmosphere is cute, though on a busy, noisy road. I probably wouldn't go there again, but it was worth a shot.
