I ordered 2 lb live lobsters to take to Palm Springs for a celebratory dinner.
The crew at Jon’s sold me amazing tasting lobsters and allowed me to come get them way before they were open for business so I could hit the road!
They were delicious 🦞

So disappointed! I lived in Laguna a long time ago and Jon’s was a fav so looked forward to eating there on a recent stay in DP. Must have changed hands. Our fish and chips was less than mediocre served by a surly young man who asked how we liked the food and started to argue with us when we gave an honest opinion. Very undecerning crowd down there. Sad.

A Wonderful Family Experience at Jon’s Fish Market!
We had such a fantastic visit to Jon’s Fish Market in Dana Point! I want to personally thank Ryan, Charles & Grace for their outstanding customer service. They went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome.
Ryan, & Grace took extra time to teach my granddaughter how to properly hold a lobster — she was nervous at first, but with their kind encouragement, she confidently held her very first lobster! After dinner, she was so proud of herself and said she couldn’t wait to do it again.
When a few items from our original order couldn’t be fulfilled, the team didn’t miss a beat — they handled it with genuine care, made things right in multiple thoughtful ways, and ensured we left completely happy.
It’s rare these days to find that level of personal attention and kindness. Thank you, Ryan, Grace, and the whole Jon’s Fish Market team, for turning an ordinary dinner into a special memory for our family! We’ll definitely be back. 🦞💙

My husband had fish tacos and he enjoyed them. I’m not the biggest fish fan so I ordered a salad, the fried zucchini and (kids) fries. The salad was just lettuce, a couple whole grape tomatoes & a few shredded carrots it was fine for lettuce which is what this “salad” was basically 😏 The fried zucchini tasted like fish and since I’m not a huge fish fan, it wasn’t my favorite tasting thing. The fries were shoestring and so overly fried they were like potato chips. I just love getting a salad and fries when I go out but these were the most disappointing salad and fries I’ve ever had. The zucchini, my bad, I should have asked if it’s fried in the same oil as the fish. If you love fish and fish tacos, like I mentioned above, my husband really enjoyed his meal.
The waiters are not very diligent be prepared to wait forever for any kind of service but the location is close to the water relaxing

Was expecting really good food considering how expensive it is. Unfortunately fries were cold and fish was okay, not great but not bad. Service here is very slow. Atmosphere is cool if you’re shopping here but no views.

Don’t know what the food is like but the service is terrible. Left after waiting 15 minutes and they weren’t busy. Wait staff did their best to avoid looking at any tables with people.

The food was pretty good! Their grilled fish was the best, but the shrimp and chips was better than the fish and chips. We ordered to go because we sat in the bar next door and they brought our food to us, which was very nice of them. This way we could enjoy seating by the water and enjoy our drinks while having our lunch!

I’ve been coming to Jon’s Fish Market for years, and it never disappoints! Even after some time away, every visit feels just like the first time. This is my go-to spot whenever friends or family are in town, and without fail, everyone falls in love with it. The blackened Cajun grilled tacos with the secret sauce are absolutely unbeatable—bursting with flavor and always cooked to perfection. My personal favorites are the salmon, halibut, and sea bass, grilled or blackened Cajun-style. Fresh, delicious, and consistent every single time—Jon’s Fish Market is truly a gem!

Our first time! Fresh seafood and excellent service. Didn't like the screaming music from the single speaker. It is on the harbor, the ambiance is beautiful no need for such noise!
Love this little place ! The shrimp and chips are my favorite. Love the location and atmosphere.
