This has got to be some of the best poke in SoCal! Their fish is super fresh and the sauce doesn't mute the flavors of the fish. Everything is added carefully and you can choose any topping you want to add in making the meal very filling if you get a large! I left their ahi, salmon, octopus combo. It was so good!
Kawamata Seafood is that “locals only” hole-in-the-wall that everyone knows about, judging by the line that forms daily like it’s a pilgrimage. If eating foodland poke on a boat off the north shore is a 10/10, then this place is a 9.5/10. I have eaten at 50 or more poke places in California and this is probably the most authentic that I've tried. For people complaining about the price idk what to tell you, you're in Dana point next to the ocean so... Anyways the only thing I think they could do is upgrade the patio furniture outside, it gets a lot of use and is mismatched and very worn so maybe make it a lil...
