I booked our dinner reservation over 2 months ago in mid Feb and it's late April. I confirmed to the restaurant twice I'd be at my reservation time. My wife and I show up for dinner and they go to seat us in a tent in their parking lot across from a row of port-a-potties. Horrible ambiance for a nice place, right? So we ask if we could be seated in the restaurant and they tell us no they're fully booked. YEAH - by me - two months ago! There were also plenty of empty tables inside. We said no thanks to this place - we pay the same to eat as the people sitting in a nice atmosphere while we eat in a tent? If you plan to eat here I'd recommend you ask where you'll be sitting first. And don't bother making reservations - they don't mean anything to this business.

This place is absolutely AMAZING in every aspect. Incredible food, awesome service, and at a great price. Oscar, our server, was extremely personable and made us feel like family. I can't articulate enough just how impressed I am with Luciana's!!!!!

Went here for a date night and it was great. The area is great to walk around in before/after as well. Parking is very easy, lots of street parking all around. Got a pretty simple pasta dish and it was delicious. It was pretty crowded but do not believe we had a reservation and it was still fine (on a week night).

Staying at the Ritz for a meeting and this was recommended to us by the staff. A local favorite for 40 years for good reason.Food was excellent - simple fresh ingredients, classic prep, and great presentation. Started with the roasted beet salad and carpaccio, both very good. Mains were excellent - Toscana fettuccine was perfect for my girlfriend with a dairy allergy, the bucatini all’amatriciana had generous portion of pancetta and the pasta was on point. Sorbet and flourless chocolate cake were both yummy. We had excellent service and the bartender made excellent wine recommendations. A fantastic meal in a cozy atmosphere. We will be back next time we’re in Laguna Beach/Dana Point!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for a dairy allergy

Another wonderful evening at Lucci's! Back to my favorite Lasagne Melania I. Others had the special Lobster Ravioli. Excellent as usual! Best service! Fun atmosphere. Donna played accordian music which we love. If you have never eaten here, you are missing a gem!

Our server Jose was great very attractive but not overwhelming. Food was perfect, Veal park for the wife and Osso buco was the best. It was our first time there and we will be back.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We celebrated a birthday. The server was very friendly and attentive. The menu is amazing and our choices were so delicious, if this restaurant was closer to us, we'd eat there at least 2x a month! We'll definitely recommend Luciana's and be back again.

Superb! Party of about 14... waiter was attentive and personable. Food, excellent and value incredible! Ordering wine for large groups is a challenge but our waiter assisted and we found the perfect wines for our group. All around amazing experience!

Brick lined arches, speckled walls and an assortment of dramatic paintings bring Luciana's an intensely romantic mood. There was a varied selection of excellent wines at good prices. Both the red and white i tried were amazing. The food was very enjoyable. The bucatini amatriana with house-cured pancetta was great overall but the pancetta had the taste and texture of regular uncured pork and the bucantini was slightly over cooked for my taste. This made the dish a little less authentically Italian to me but still delicious in its own way.

The food was great but the night we were there, one of the fryers broke down, so we weren't able to order any fried dishes like calamari, and the waiter seemed like they were very overworked, but they did a good job

Best Italian restaurant around that area or in SoCal from food, service and overall experience. We have been there three times already. The staff over there is so friendly, food is awesome, they have wide variety of wine and ambience is five star. We will go there many times in the future.
