We had fantastic service with Greg! Greg bartends and waits tables. He is personable and charming. He made us delicious martinis with the glass very full. We ordered the Crudo to share and it was very fresh and the portion was generous and the presentation and sauce were outstanding. We both ordered the Branzino, which was cooked to perfection with a beautiful presentation. The flavors were outstanding and we would order everything again. It was our anniversary and we had a dessert that had "Happy Anniversary" written on chocolate. We are excited to go back again to try other items on the menu as this chef knocked it out of the park! The ambiance will be even better once the construction is finished.

No tablecloths on formica top tables for a 4 course NYE dinner. Unfortunately, it was bland and more like Costco reheated.

Waited in line to be seated for a very long time. Staff don't appear to know how to run a dinning establishment. They were not taking names and letting people sit and wait. The wait staff felt rushed and unprofessional, and the prices were outrageous for the quality and selection available at the buffet. Forcing patrons to pay a mandatory 20% service charge as a gratuity should be illegal. A buffet service does not justify 20% of a bill! We will never come back for breakfast and will encourage others to stay away as well. We had to wait in long lines for the omelet station and waited for buffet to be restocked.

Sent my Mother and brother to this restaurant for Christmas and it was embarrassingly awful experience. They only offered a very expensive ($159 each) Buffet - which could be okay if the food was great. Unfortunately they both reported that the food was of very poor quality (quote: "mediocre is being generous"). Service was non- existent and to add insult to injury - They forced a 20% Service Charge for the lack of service. They each had one drink, paid a $450 bill and left very disappointing and not wanting to tell me that my trusty Marriott recommendation was unfortunate. I am sad and mad to let them down and that Marriott let me down! Never again to my local Marriott!

Christmas buffet was fantastic. All the food was fresh seating was wonderful. The musician was a little bit loud, but that was probably because the room was not filled to capacity. Altogether a great time

The food was awful. We had Prime Rib, a burger and Mac & Cheese. The beef was way undercooked and poor quality; Mac & Cheese had no flavor. Very disappointing!!

Service was terrible, food wasn't great. We waited 20 minutes before getting water and placing a drink order. We were also disappointed with their lack of deco Christmas decorations, they had only 1 Xmas tree by the bar. We won't be back.

Food was good, a little overpriced but most disappointing is that it was set up in a vanilla ballroom with an available beautiful park and ocean view wasted, unavailable to Thanksgiving dinner special event diners

The prime rib was probably the best part, the turkey was chewy and maybe should have been sliced. The salmon Wellington was good, the pork tenderloin was dry. The side dishes, mixed veggies were burnt and overcooked, the sweet potatoes were mediocre, the property is renovating and ruins the view of the harbor. I'd probably not come back. The coffee cup was dirty, the forks were bent, just poorly managed. If you want to charge those prices, you should check everything. The dessert was great, but the strawberries were empty and never replenished. It just seemed like they were trying to save more than have enough for the guests. I don't know why you have to pay a tip when you do everything for yourself. It should be 10% max not 20%. There is no order taken or food delivery. I understand it's a holiday, but the hotel should cover that cost and not put it on the guests. The charcuterie and seafood were good. I didn't try the salads or the pasta or the omelette bar.

Our first experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Chef's special duck was amazing! We will definitely come back.

It was my bday. They went above and beyond.. Jett, our server and the rest of the staff did great! They explained the menu well. The resto is under construction, but you can't tell. They covered ot pretty well and the lightning was nice. On regards of the food, Jett's recommendations were on point. Will definitely recommend this place. thanks Jett!

We were very pleased with the service from Jett and staff, the food was flavorful with ample options, and the ambiance and view was lovely from the patio with warmth from the fire pits. We were greeted with a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary and ended with a yummy chocolate cake with anniversary chocolate. It was quiet enough for our sleeping baby to accompany us.

Had the most beautiful experience of being close to the ocean and not just enjoying the view- but savoring the delicately prepared dishes from Lantern’s Edge delectable menu!
Our immeasurable thanks to Jiyan-and the rest of the staff at this welcoming restaurant for making us feel welcome and special. The food is worth all the trouble of driving even in the rain!
Loved everything about this place, more power and continued success to everyone involved! 👏🏼🙏

This is a beautiful property nestled up a winding toad and perched on a cliff. The ocean and harbor views are spectacular. Service and food was great!

My wife and I were staying at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott and decided to dine at the hotel restaurant for a relaxed evening and a nice meal after a long work day. We arrived around 8:30 PM, a little later than planned, and were hoping for a smooth dinner at the beautiful property.

After being seated, it took about 10 minutes before we were greeted and able to order drinks and an appetizer. Our drinks arrived roughly 10 minutes later, and at that point, we ordered our entrées. About 20 minutes passed with no updates — the ice in our glasses had already melted — when our server finally stopped by to say our food would be “right out” and asked if we’d like another round of drinks. When he returned a few minutes later with the new drinks, he let us know there had been an issue printing our ticket to the kitchen, and our food had only just started cooking. He kindly offered the drinks on the house, which we appreciated, but our appetizer had never been put in either.

Roughly 20 minutes after that, our entrées finally arrived, though unfortunately the food was underwhelming for the price point. We never complained, and the staff did make a good-faith effort to make things right by comping one entrée and a couple of drinks. Still, the long delays, missed order, and inconsistent communication made what should have been a relaxing evening feel frustrating — especially after an already late dinner.

The restaurant has a lovely setting and courteous staff, but the service flow and communication need improvement. We hope this feedback helps the team make some adjustments, because the experience didn’t reflect the quality expected from a Marriott property.
