I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. We drove over 50 miles to support them, but upon arrival, we were seated and left waiting for 20 minutes without any service. The waitstaff walked by us repeatedly, completely ignoring us and avoiding eye contact. I won't waste my money on such poor service. We ended up leaving without placing an order.

Had such a great experience at Truly’s Pizza, and a huge part of that was thanks to Andrew! He was super friendly, always had a smile on his face, and made us feel really welcome. Our salad took a little longer than expected, but before we even had to ask, Andrew was already on it and made sure we were taken care of. On top of that, he surprised us with a dessert for my mom’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Little things like that make all the difference. “Truly” appreciate the great service, we’ll definitely be back.

For our last night in Dana Point we decided to splurge and go for pizza. Came across this place on Instagram, and Dios mio I'm so glad I did! It was fantastic! The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are all friendly and warm, and the pizza, better than my best expectations. We ordered the vodka pizza with burrata, semi sundries tomatoes, and lemon pesto,and added pepperoni. Wow! Did not disappoint. Was the perfect way to end a wonderful vacation week. We will be back to Dana Point frequently in the future, and will definitely be back to visit truly pizza again.
(HIGHLY recommend reservations, we got lucky as walk-ins as barstool service was first come first serve. We got some that were open but they were filled less than five min later. Heard the hostess on the phone saying their reservations for the night were booked out, and overheard either the manager or owner telling another customer they book reservations a month in advance over the summer!)

Great pizza with superior dough/crust and sublime sauce, but it could use more toppings. The vibe is nice, with a big two-story outdoor space. It gets busy, so expect to wait 30–40 minutes for your order. A bit pricey, but overall a solid spot, better that most pizzas around for sure.

Pizza is phenomenal. I've never had a crust this good before! The garlic pull apart bread is also very tasty. It's only outdoor seating and the space is small, so I recommend coming at an off hour or making reservations.

Best pizza of my life. So good. Such fresh ingredients. The crust is the key and so good, and their special recipe. I DONT UNDERSTAND any review that isn’t 5 stars…this isn’t dominos! The heaters and blankets make sitting under all those stunning lemon trees so special/cozy. The best ambiance. Should have mentioned the 5 star service too. Never had to wait on anything. All with a smile.

My favorite restaurant that I often go to. The atmosphere is always nice and the pizza is delicious, but I recommend the Newport Wedge Salad.
Truly Pizza is definitely worth a visit. We had the Buffalo wings (very good), the Spagnola salad (excellent), and the Dante Artisan Pizza (excellent). Great location with nice views from the top level. The place is always very crowded, so reservations are recommended. One of the better pizza joints in OC. Only disappointment was the beer list. With so many great breweries in OC , they could have better options.
Sat down and waited 20 min without server showing up. Told hostess, waited another 10 min while several tables that were seated after us were seated and still no server. Walked out. Never been here before and very unimpressed
