Worst blue fin tuna sushi i have ever had in my life so far...there was almost NO sushi rice. Like 2tsp of rice...TEASPOONS! The blue fin was low quality blue fin too. Everytime ive been here, They try to serve me the lowest quality piece of blue fin tuna. I sit at the sushi bar and try to talk with them, but they do not want to talk either...WORST SUSHI SPOT HANDS DOWN.

No attempt at customer service. I was there for an hour waiting for a to go order that I had placed before coming in. They never acknowledged anyone waiting or said hello. No common courtesy. Clearly no system for the front of the restaurant. It was extremely chaotic to watch and it appeared no one knew where to be or what they were doing. I’m really confused how this business is still around when they don’t seem to care about the customer experience. When I finally had their attention for the second time they realized my food was ready all along but they didn’t know when I first had come in. There was no concern visible that my food had been sitting there the whole time while I waited and they said I should have told them I was waiting. What more should I have done besides standing in front of their counter waiting. Like I said before they didn’t interact or acknowledge anyone standing in front of them. They didn’t offer any discounts and instead of apologizing blamed me for not being more aggressive. Very bad experience and won’t return.

Horrible sushi I have ordered before but this time it’s just not edible!!!!! Too busy , too salty I was sure that I will have a great experience but it didn’t happen Sushi rolls are dry and not tasty at all

Suchi chef Kevin made a beautiful artistic flower for my granddaughter -it was a beautifully cut flower made out of a cucumber to compliment her Suchi dish ! I appreciate the delicious Suchi and beautiful service ! Thank you Kevin for putting a smile on our faces !

Came here for dinner. I ordered the beef udon noodle soup, which was just okay. The rest of my family ordered Sushi and they all liked what they ordered. The place is welcoming and kid friendly.
Delicious sushi, but I’m very confused with the quality of service. Plenty of free tables and spaces on the bar, but they won’t sit us for half an hour. Why?!!!

Great place but servers are lazy and don’t take orders. We had to literally write everything down on a sheet of paper like bento boxes, appetizers, noodle dishes, legit everything. Very annoying for a party of 4. I can get marking down a sheet for sushi rolls but servers should take orders! Bad customer service.

We ate at Zen Sushi while we were visiting Dana Point. It was a pretty restaurant, and the sushi was good, it just wasn't as great as we were expecting it to be. Dana Point is a ritzy area so we thought the sushi might be a little bit better quality. It was fine but nothing special. We enjoyed a sushi chain restaurant we ate at in Orange, CA more. If you are in the area and crave sushi, this is a fine restaurant to eat at it just won’t blow you away.
Parking: Zen Sushi is located in a plaza with plenty of free parking.
