Supported this business for 20+ years but No more after the owner was VERY rude and disrespectful to us. I don't know who the hell this guy thinks that he is but he surely has lost our business for life so long as he's anywhere connected to this establishment.

Overpriced pizza, unhappy staff, and an extremely rude owner. There are many places in the area with cheaper and better food including Delarosa right in the beautiful newly build City Center. I don't normally wise bad luck on anybody but somehow I feel like this whole area would be better served if this guy went out of business. At least then the staff could find an employer that treats them with respect with customers who are appreciated.

Sorry this WOKE site won’t let me use the exact profane words that this owner used at me ? so I will do my best to improvise but it was a lot of F bombs. Owner is a complete jerk, I was a long time customer here but NEVER again. I will take my business to Delarosa, I stopped for a break on my long bike ride to grab a bite to eat & a drink & brought my rode bike inside as I was going to sit at the bar on this 100+ extreme heat day outside. As I set my bike just inside the door against the wall some one dressed like a homeless person started yelling at me in an extremely rude fashion. I only learned that it was the owner when I asked him, he didn’t introduce himself or even look like he was anyone other than some drunk angry customer seeming to want to start something with me ??‍♂️. I was shocked when he told me that I could get my WOKE ass out. For one I am NOT Woke nor will I ever be and I supported this business all during COVID when they struggled to stay open & in business. Screw them now, hope the owner losses a ton of money & goes broke, it sounds from other reviews that I have seen the community would be a better place without him here. Instead of acting like an adult and saying that they just replaced the carpet & bikes are not allowed inside he started acting like an unhinged drunk in front of his customers and staff ??‍♂️. I can only imaging how this owner treats his employees if that’s how he talks to would be customers ? To put things in perspective, for those of you who don’t rode bike, the tires are so thin that the amount of possible dirt that could ever be transferred to the “New” carpet is significantly less than everyone’s shoes. Think of a “Ten Speed” bike for those of you who were born back in that era. Maybe he should put a rule that you have to take off your shoes to come into the restaurant with that idiot logic ? I’m not surprised though because this owner is probably the worst business person I have ever seen, he used to have a location in the Safeway shopping center at the corner of Dougherty & Bollinger Canyon road when it first opened & the genius thought it was a good idea to put a “High End” Mexican restaurant right next door to compete against himself for business ??‍♂️. The Mexican place was FAR from High End, I recall that place being horrible and I got food poisoning from there once. Once that horrible Mexican restaurant went under he thought he could put in a crappy burger place which also bombed. Eventually the idiot competed himself out of both of those businesses and had to close them down ?. Now he sits at the Tassajara location all angry at the world, maybe he’s the WOKE one blaming everyone else other than himself for his own failures. ??‍♂️? One thing for sure is that I will be telling EVERYONE I know & meet about this horrible owner & extremely rude interaction today. NEVER will he say another penny of our money.

I’ve ordered from them before and things have been just fine but this pizza was a little disappointing it was bland how do you make a bland pizza. The crust didn’t taste like anything and the sauce was just bland and to add insult to injury the pizza was $51. I do my best to support local business but it makes it hard with those kind of prices. I’m a pizza lover and if I pay $51 it needs to be on point every time and this one was a miss.

We ordered the chicken barbecue pizza, but it arrived with only half of the toppings that were advertised. The pizza had mostly blocks of chicken, barely any cheese, and drenched in barbecue sauce.

One of the best crusts I’ve ever had, with a generous amount of toppings. This place is great! Love the old school, order and sit . Highly recommend!

Great lunch specials! Pizza is 10/10. Ascona-style wings are bomb, crunchy breading. It does get busy at lunch, so plan for longer wait times, but everyone there is really friendly.

We have been eating at Ascona Pizza and ordering take-out ever since we moved to Danville almost 4 years ago. Their lunch specials are the best! We have had less than perfect food a couple of times when we order it to-go, and once we had a lunch order that seemed to get lost, causing a delay that was remedied quickly. I would say out of 60 or 70 visits or take-out orders, we have only been disappointed 4 or 5 times. We would definitely recommend Ascona Pizza in Blackhawk - good food, good service, and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Just met the owner in his Bentley convertible. So RUDE as I attempted to strike up a conversation. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the pizza. Great quality. HOWEVER the ridiculous leap in price since COVID is inexcusable in my opinion. And this is a man who doesn’t care, I will no longer be a patron.

The bartender/server ( thin male spoke some Spanish to another customer) was super rude to another customer sitting next to us. It got so bad we walked out. Our pizza was not hot, waiter waited a long time before he brought it over.. not very hygienic. Place needs an inspection, especially this server. Be careful going to this place. It’s food poison bomb waiting to happen.

Cheap Ingredients, low quality, Over priced, Rip off, terrible customer service. Not much else to say but the fact this restaurant has plagued Danville for far too long and their pizza is a disgrace to real authentic Italian Pizza.
