A deliberately snide comment from one of the employees and the hefty prices are why I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars. That said, the food was delicious and I would still probably go back. Note that they have a secret menu, so be sure to ask about that before you order!

This is my wife’s and my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is stunning. From craft cocktails and elevated appetizers to hearty entrees and delectable desserts and specialty coffees, you are guaranteed a memorable meal. We love to bring friends and family who are not vegan and then watch them gush. But by far the best part of the experience is the delightful service. Everyone is so genuinely friendly.

I went to this restaurant and checked in today around 12 pm. The lady with long fake nails was having a phone conversation on her iPhone and ignored me for a few seconds so I thought I had the wrong person to check in with. She said there were no open tables and she’d put me on a waiting list, but I noticed multiple empty tables. She said she’d call me in 20 min. The lady never ended up calling. I guess she was too busy with her phone call

Beautifully crafted flavors. Can't believe vegan gluten free dishes can taste so good! The “crab” cakes were truly outstanding...tastes like real crab cakes! The gigante beans were amazing and comforting..my favorite dish so far. I've been here several times and the food is consistently delicious and thoughtfully crafted.

Everything was great except one thing. We had the Valentine's Day special for 2. The food was great but each course was served on one plate. That's great if we weren't sitting across from each other and only having a small bread sized plate to essentially serve ourselves. Especially the main pasta course. It was served in a bowl for one and just one piece of bread. Transferring that to small plates was not the best experience and much more work than it should have been. That's why we could not give the experience 5 stars.

The food was good…I had garbanzo bean soup and sourdough toast with fig jam…both were delicious. However, the server spoke to her colleagues rudely and had an impatient demeanor throughout. We were also snapped at by another server as our group attempted to enter the main doors while that server was attempting to bring water to one of the outdoor tables.

This was our first time at a vegan restaurant and was thoroughly enjoyable. The waitress was an excellent guide to the menu and what we might enjoy and we value her suggestions. Well most of the items we had had titles that conveyed a non-vegan images, the food itself was very tasty, even though it did not physically resemble the non-vegan titles that they came with. We will be back.

Every aspect of our evening at Blossom and Root was fabulous. The food and drinks were delicious. We did a lot of tasting and sharing. Everything was great. The server was knowledgeable and encouraging about the dietary restriction of one of our friends. It was so comfortable. Service was perfect combo of friendly and respectful of our desire to talk among ourselves. Loved it.

This place is for keeps. The food is so hearty and tasty. My two daughters are vegan and have severe gluten and dairy allergies and are always skeptical in eating out dubious and worried about cross contamination. Tommy, our server was the best, he made us feel very comfortable assuring us how safely they handle and prepare food. He made note of the allergens on each meal we ordered. Very aware and thoughtful. Everything we ordered was simply delicious, nothing left on the plate, even their dessert. We enjoyed the baked gigantes beans (I would recommend ordering bread on the side with this, it is on the soupy side and just a perfect small dish) so much we ordered it again the the next day. Yes we came back and tried their breakfast menu which was equally yummy. I forgot the nice lady who served us (sorry!) but she served us free dessert since it was my daughter's birthday. She as awesome and truly sweet! Their menu changes on different days depending on what fresh ingredients they have available. Service is commendable, and the ambiance is very welcoming and homey. We love, love this place and will definitely come back and explore the rest of their menu.
We had two mimosas, which were made with fresh squeezed orange juice and garnished beautifully. Our brunch consisted of the breakfast burrito and French toast, and they were outstanding! The environment is comfortable and quaint, and the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

On our way home from skiing in Tahoe, we noted Blossom & Root in Danville. I’ve eaten at different spots in town but had never come across B&R. For lunch husband had the breakfast burrito. Plenty of food with potato’s & guacamole sides; he ended up bringing half home. I had the beet & avocado argula salad w/quinoa & mandarins. It was super fresh & delicious- I was wishing there was more. We’ll definitely be back to try different dishes & maybe desserts (sounded so good) & a mocktail (the server gave us a coupon for one). Cheerful, good service too!
