Cute cafe with desserts, drinks, and some savory food. We tried their honey toast and it was delicious! Came with two scoops of ice cream of our choice + fruits. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly. Would recommend coming by to try their desserts.

I had the crème brulé crepe with a double espresso.It was great!The crepe had crème brulé on the top, banana and strawberry inn the centre and chocolate at the bottom.It was served in a cone which made it fun to eat.The host was very friendly.Would definitely recommend for a brunch/evening snack if you are in the Blackhawk/Mt.Diablo area.

I had to wait 40 minutes for a crepe takeout, and the cafe was cold. They looked busy and everyone was waiting for food.The crepe was okay. Nothing amazing. Very disappointed. I don't think I will ever come back.

Cute place that is in the Blackhawk shopping center. They have your typical breakfast and lunch menu. They specialize in crepes , so we got a savory and a sweet crepe. Both were great ! The savory was a turkey with cheese and the sweet was a mango with vanilla ice cream. Service was great and I sat outside. Good price for what you get and I look forward to coming back.

Wanted to try a new brunch restaurant so drove out here for Brown Butter. Located inside Blackhawk Plaza with entrances from the parking lot and inside the mall. Walked in for a party of 2, got seated immediately on the only high top communal table they have. Placed our orders and the lychee iced tea came out within 5 mins. Sweet with strong lychee flavor that meets our taste. Waited an additional 36 mins (timestamp based on photo taken when order arrives) for our food to arrive. The tuna melt sandwich was surprisingly delectable with the corn. The Shibuya honey toast was always something I wanted to try and finally got the chance to. I've never had ice cream with my toast and fruits, and this did not disappoint! The thick toast was nice and crispy on the outside while maintaining a soft inside. Strawberry and mango ice cream were both so good! Small and cute restaurant with minimal seating. There's a few tables outside for when weather's right (it was raining when we went). Interior looked really well-kept and clean, no signs of spiderwebs or handprints on the window. Slowww service, but the food is worth the wait! Just make sure you don't go when you're starving. I plan to go back and try other items on their menu, thought it's a bit limited on savory selections.

Delicious food, comfy and cute ambiance, and warm and friendly service made my first time eating at Brown Butter leave such an impact that I'm sitting here writing a review (I don't normally feel compelled to do so).The place was surprisingly packed on a Wednesday afternoon, but we were somehow seated right away. The server was this super nice girl and took our order and served us with a smile. I saw a different server go out of his way to open the door for a family on their way out.I got the ham and cheese crepe, which had thick ham, nice cheese pull, crispy crepe, and this tasty house sauce. Also came with a salad. It was SUPER yummy.I came here for the honey toast though, and also got that. I love honey brick toast but every place with the exception of my favorite spot back at home (Up2You in San Diego, if you're curious) had failed me up until this point. The honey toast here was delicious though!!! Not as much honey as I normally like, but the toast was crispy and fluffy to perfection with a nice variety of fruits (all satisfyingly peeled and cut into cute shapes), ice cream, and custard and nuts without being too much or too heavy. I'll definitely be back. New favorite spot!

Oh my goodness! The food here is absolutely delicious! The service is given with a huge smile and ambiance is very nice! There is a small outdoor seating area for beautiful days! Coffee was delicious and so was the vegan sandwich! Don't forget to tip!

Really cute place with good quality foods and desserts in Blackhawk Plaza.Relaxed and modern atmosphere. Staff was very nice and attentive.I love Japanese style honey toast but it’s so hard to come by here in the US.Their honey toast was very solid with fresh fruits on the side.I’m so happy I can have my honey toast craving fixed so close to my house. ?I also tried their savory crepe with spicy moo yong (pork floss) which was also really good.

Their most popular dessert here is the Shibuya Honey Toast! They also have a must try crème brûlée crepe cone that is filled with custard, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate on the crepe wrap.We ordered the tuna melt, and they were delicious! The portion of the tuna, cheese, corn to bread ratio was perfect! If you check in on yelp, they have a free Lychee Ice Tea that was super refreshing! Great drink to pair up with this savory sandwich! Everything was delicious here and I would definitely come back again if they have more new items! If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try!
