I was craving classic Chinese food. I got their vegetable egg rolls, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour pork. I really enjoyed the egg rolls. They were good. Everything was good. The place looks more like a no frills take out place. They have tables but it doesn't look like a very welcoming environment. They could improve that and get more business. The food is solid though. I recommend it to satisfy your classic Chinese food cravings :)

Solid, no-nonsense take-out Chinese food - the typical not so healthy, but oh so tasty kind of joint. They do have indoor seating, and I've eaten there several times (pre pandemic, and during the pandemic), but the ambiance, size, and format of the restaurant is such that most of their business is takeout (if you dine in, you'll be the only table dining there, but you'll see a very steady thrum of takeout orders). Don’t be fooled by the generic name, China Gourmet is one of the best family owned Chinese restaurants in the area. They are very popular for take out, but if you dine in, they take the time to introduce themselves to new customers and check in with frequent visitors. The food is great. Hometown favorite!
