Surprisingly good mexican food at Blackhawk plaza. We have been here many times and each time I tried something different and they were all delicious. Service is great, patio is amazing especially for kids, drinks are top notch. Can't find something bad to say about this place. Go to spot id you are at Blackhawk plaza.

Best Mole I have ever had! Chicken mole is fantastic chicken is moist and Rice and beans are perfectly done. Guacamole and salsa are very good unique salsa. Margaritas were outstanding, we had great service, very friendly and helpful.

Giving it a second try, first time was OK! This time we had a very nice waitress, unfortunately she forgot our appetizer. OH WELL I got the crab& shrimp enchiladas, it was good, not a lot of crab or shrimp but tasty! My wife got 3 tacos ala carte they had a lot of meat! Drinks are good, we got charged $11 for sangria when menu said $9?? Not sure what happened there? We'll be back!

Haven’t been to this one since The Prickly Pear closed. Not much of a crowd on a Saturday night but it was also the weekend after Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales are still going g on. We loved our food and the drinks were strong! I can immediately taste the Patron! ?

Don't trust the hours listed on Google (or Yelp). Call first just to double check they are really open. Google says it closes at 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday Nights. Yet, when I called at 8:40pm to place an order I was told that the Kitchen had already closed at 8pm and all the chefs were gone. So perhaps the bar is open until 9:30, but the kitchen apparently is not.

The food is nothing short of wonderfully authentic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The service is good, keep in mind this isn't a fast food chain, take a moment and enjoy your meal, outside or in the bar watching the game. Did I mention they have probably the best selection of quality Tequilas in the area? And don't get me started on their margarita options! All the juices are fresh squeezed and the flavors are perfectly balanced. It's my go to spot when any asks where I'd like to go for lunch or dinner close bye.

The food was meh..... The meat was all grisly, everything was unseasoned. The salsa tasted like tomatoes and nothing else. The people were wonderful and the place was very clean. I was very disappointed in the food, especially my carne asada which was so grisly I could not eat it. I don't like to leave bad reviews. But this was terrible for the price that I paid. It would have been better going to a taco truck.

2 stars for great service, ambience and drinks. Food was very ordinary. Chops were fresh but salsa was weird. Got the prawns and enchiladas. Prawns didnt seems fresh and the sauce was a little bland. The enchiladas were also lumpy and very bland. Will not come back.

We came here for lunch on a weekday. The service is ok. The food was very boring. There was no flavor. Very bland. The ambience is great.

Feedback for poor customer service: The server (man) standing at entry did not even look or acknowledge our presence (party of 3), then after getting his attention told us there is a wait. I thought it was odd as there were lots of tables but Ok. Then as we waited, a waitress came out and gave a table to a party of 2 without reservation who just walked in. So I asked another waitress who came out and she got us seated. All this time the man was at the bar at entry and not paying any attention. That said, I'll say the tacos are pretty good because their corn tortillas are freshly made. If it wasn't for that I'd give 1 star. In case you need to know why this sleepy place is going downhill this is one of the reasons.

We had one very average margarita each. We shared a salad and a 4 taco plate (no rice or beans) and the fish taco was soggy, the pork was all fat and grizzle. The check was $80+ needless to say we won't be back. Yikes.

All in all a very good dining experience. The menu threatened to charge an extra $2 for a refill of chips and salsa, but they didn't. I ordered the shrimp and crab enchiladas. Quite tasty. They came with some unexciting stirred fried vegetables and a fluffy butt rather bland rice corn combination. Those chips and salsa that I mentioned earlier were actually very good. I had a Diet Coke to drink. Initially I thought service was going to be a problem because I waited about 15 minutes before ever seeing the first sign of a server. But once things got moving, the food came out quickly, my drink glass was refilled, and everything went well. I sat outside. The dining area was nice. On the way out bartender was very friendly asking me how I enjoyed my food and service. If I'm ever in Blackhawk again I will definitely consider this restaurant if seeking a Mexican food.
