Food used to be good, got bought out by Applebee's and now the food is terrible, many of the old time favorites are gone. Short story is I won't go back and I won't recommend it.My mistake on it being sold, I believe I was told that by the service person. I thought I was also able to find it on the web at the time. However, my general comments still stand. Food quality and items went way down from previous. I will not eat at a BBD again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. The over usage of salt is insane among other things.

I came here to enjoy a lovely afternoon with my kids and the burger was burnt, the grilled cheese was tasteless and looked un edible, i will not be coming here again, the fries were also soggy, the burger also looked like it was sat out for hours. I would never recommend going here.

I order ubereats, and they didn't care about my concern or anything, they give the food to somebody else and they gotta for free. Then if they care me as a customer, they can care about me, I'm thinking about business. That's a good involved and involved this scam going on they're scamming, I didn't care about customers. They kept my money and business only but didn't they care me? I call them and they didn't care about me. They told me call customer service for the problem they had. It's their fault. I blame him for what they did to me. Cause me a $100. My food and they say well. Talk to the driver. It's not responsibility if you forget stolen. Yes, that's the responsibility. In addition to being business, shut them down.
One of the busier black bear diners I’ve been to - definitely feels like a local diner that the townspeople love to visit. Food was amazing as always and the serving staff was very nice.

Currently traveling for work a day longer than I expected and/or wanted. BIG meeting in San Ramon tomorrow that I learned today I must attend. Found a hotel close to the head shed for corporate and there just happened to be a Black Bear Diner in the same parking lot. Now as a back story, I've only been to a Black Bear Diner once before and the portions were way too big for a oil and gas gypsy like me who's in a hotel - you could have another meal easily from a single entrée. This time I made a late lunch of their $9.99 2 eggs, sausage and french toast. It was awesome. The service was great and I enjoyed it so much, I committed to returning for dinner. Fast fwd a couple hours, I returned for a late meal of a house salad and a grilled chicken breast and a raspberry ice tea! Again it was exactly what I wanted and recieved no push back from my ala carte ordering by the very accomidating Ms. Nodia.
