First time eating at this restaurant and the last the service was very bad. They charged a dollar fifty per salsa, and they got the main entree wrong on the fajitas. When ordered a shrimp fajita, chicken was delivered and then the waitress argued that it was cut. I mean, at that point I was looking to make sure there weren't two shrimp dishes on there.Very surprisedThey charged for each separate condiment on the fajitas comma the cheese, the sour cream, a lime and a guacamole. Really. The shrimp fajita had six and a half small shrimp for twenty five dollars.Does that make sense no charge for the onions. I saw her grabbing was offered one flimsy napkin, and after we went through the napkin, she gave us a hard time about the additional napkin.

El Nido has been a favorite of mine since my kids were little, and it still holds a special place in my heart. The food is truly authentic Mexican, full of flavor, comforting, and always delicious. Their drinks are just as good, making every visit feel like a celebration.
What makes El Nido even more special is that it’s a family-owned restaurant. You can feel the personal love and care in every detail, which gives it such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you make memories as much as you enjoy the meal.
I can’t wait to visit again soon. El Nido deserves every bit of these five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cute little place, food was good and serving size were pretty big, service was great when my family and I visited, I can only guess the bad experiences are based off the day to day situation since it is a mom and pop restaurant, I have no bad experiences whatsoever, only disappointment that's I couldn't have the dragon fruit drink because I was the designated driver, it looked good! Lack of 1 star is because the place felt a little stuffy for my taste but nothing too drastic.

Such good and authentic Mexican! I love this place and go whenever I can.
The carnitas here were fantastic! The service was also perfect. They were attentive and genuinely nice. Their aguas frescas were so good too! Big, big personal thank you to Julia for taking great care of us! We’ll be back!
I have dined at El Nido for years. Have always had a great experience. Great food, attentive service, good portions. There can be a wait during popular dinner hours.
**Authentic Mexican Delights with a Personal Touch**
I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Nido in Danville, a hidden gem that serves up some of the most authentic Mexican cuisine I've ever tasted. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home.
The food here is truly a standout. Every dish bursts with flavor and authenticity, from the perfectly seasoned tacos to the rich and savory mamas chicken soup. You can tell that each recipe has been passed down through generations, with ingredients that are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you're a fan of spicy salsas or prefer something milder, there's something on the menu for everyone.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the owner. Julia personally greets every guest with a genuine smile and makes it a point to ensure everyone feels like part of the family. During our visit, she even took the time to chat with us and take a photo with our kids, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s clear that she cares deeply about her customers and the community.
If you're looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience with incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere, El Nido is the place to go. We'll definitely be returning soon!

We had a very disappointing experience eating here, primarily because of terrible service but the food was underwhelming as well. We waited for about 10 minutes to be seated at about 630pm on a Saturday with about 10 tables visibly empty. We had to remind the hostess to provide a high chair twice as my wife stood at the table baby in arm for far too long. Once seated, we had to flag down a waitress after seeing multiple servers and bussers enter and exit our area without greeting us. When we finally were able to catch one of their eyes, she was visibly annoyed as we were obviously not her responsibility. As we sat there over the next five minutes, other parties were seated, greeted, and provided drinks quickly. Maybe they were locals? This left a terrible impression. In any case, our food was delivered relatively quickly but we had to remind them to give us, you know, napkins and silverware. Twice. We never did figure out who was our server since noone came back to check on us until our meal was over. Totally subpar. As far as the food was concerned, the chicken soup was boring, the steak fajitas were bland and overcooked. The guacamole and salsa were passable, and the refried beans were delicious. Unfortunately we can not recommend this restaurant and we won't be back.

Terrible, overpriced, bland food and bad service. Small menu. The salsa tastes exactly like marinara. I got the shrimp tacos which only had 2 shrimp each and I had to pay $4 for small sides of sour cream and "guacamole" (literally mashed avocado without any flavor). Everything needs a heavy dash of salt and lime. The server was slow and not very friendly. Would not recommend this place at all.
Great food and friendly staff!

Worst Mexican food in the tri valley! 35 for one plate of 5 street tacos?! And the meat was dry and flavorless, I called to speak to a manager and was told they were closed and got hung up on. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They lost all future business from me and my family. So sad.
