Fat Maddie’s Blackhawk

I ordered the California Burger well done. It was delicious, but after a couple bites I noticed parts of the burger were medium rare and other parts were rare. I didn't complain (which is on me) but when I got home, half the food went out one end and the rest went out the other. Two stars because the fries were actually fire.

I wish I could leave a negative review for this establishment. We made reservations for Thanksgiving 2025 dinner at this location. We confirmed the reservation verbally several days prior and tried to contact the restaurant prior to arrival to ask some questions but kept getting the voicemail which was full. Upon arrival on Thanksgiving we found the restaurant CLOSED!!! No cars in parking lot completely empty!!! No idea what happened and why they didn’t contact their guests to alert them of the change.

As I sit, in my car, eating my meal. This is the best burger, I've ever had!! And young lady, the hostess, was a sweet heart too!

I’ve been coming here since before Fat Maddies moved and never had an issue dining outside with the geese and ducks—until now. The owner now sells bird food for kids to feed the birds, which encourages them to gather right next to the dining tables. As a result, the birds come so close they can splash water onto your food.

I was nearly finished eating when this happened to me. I informed the manager, but instead of offering any gesture of goodwill (even though I wouldn’t have accepted because i was almost done), he simply said he’d tell the owner. Poorly handled.

I won’t be returning and will be telling my friends for sure!

It's rare to find a restaurant that prioritizes both taste and wellness so successfully.Every dish was prepared with care and skill, we could taste the natural flavors of the ingredience.From the moment we were seated we enjoyed the beautiful area looking out over the water.Beyond the food and the view the atmosphere was so relaxing ,indoor or outdoor was pleasant.The friendliness of the staff truly stood out.overall Fat Maddie's is a gem! perfect spot for a special occasion or simply for a day out for lunch or dinner.I can't wait to return and try more of their menu.

The ducks need to be controlled somehow. It was like walking through a mine field. Not the restaurants fault.

The fish and chips are basic at best thus over priced.

My Son in law had my daughter's birthday party here with 35 people it was terrific the room and outside area was perfect ...great service great food I give it a 10 treated my daughter and son-in-law nicely I gave. Done Restaurant business for 25 years so I know a great place thank you to owner and staff keep making memories....

made a reservation, and was ushered to a table which was the most sunniest spot; the waitress refused to move us to a different table despite 10+ tables open; she refused to even move the umbrella for a bit of shade - absolutely discriminatory

I’d give a -1 for service if I could. Reserved a table, and they refused to move an umbrella for us (outdoor) or even let us get moved to one of the many 10+ other available tables. Pathetic establishment

This is our go-to spot for a casual but consistently good meal with a variety of drink options. It’s nothing fancy but the food and atmosphere is great for the price, especially in this area. The outdoor patio by the pond adds a nice touch, especially on sunny days. Always a solid choice when we want something easy and enjoyable. The burgers are very good!

Saturday night they are not open, and yet on Google map it says it's open. Plus the location is incorrect, had to wander around half the mall only to find it closed.

Misleading /unclear sign outside the restaurant- stating that they moved to the end of the museum in black hawk plaza . Came here for dinner with the whole family on Sunday evening . We searched the whole Blackhawk plaza but could not find the new location . We asked multiple people and no one has any idea

Absolutely LOVE Fat Maddie’s, which is why we’re here a couple times a month. Happy Hour is extra amazing with great food and drinks on their HH menu. Thank you to Damien and the rest of the top notch staff!

Nick was one of the best servers i’ve ever come across. So charismatic, funny, and all around great dude. Loved it!

Our server was phenomenal and the food was great. I love Fat Maddie's outdoor seating- the lights and duck pond create an inviting atmosphere. The food took a little while to come, but when it did arrive, my friends and I enjoyed our meals. Also, the bartender makes a good drink. I recommend F.M.'s to anyone looking for an enjoyable evening.
