excellent meal at forbes mill danville. perfect filet steak with bearnaise sauce, tasty creamed spinach, au gratin potatoes, good Caesar salad, prompt service though may have been a little better if they slowed down between cocktails, salad, entree with wine and dessert and coffee. much nicer than i remember forbes mill in los gatos. definitely pricey, though i think that the reality of good beef these days. i look forward to dining there again in the future.
Overall excellent. Service was lacking. It seemed like no one person was assigned to serve our table. It also took awhile for someone to wait on us. Restaurant may have been understaffed?
I was disappointed in the Dry Aged New York. I felt it was a little chewey. Our server informed me that Dry aged are not as tender, but I have had them in the past and this one was definitely not what I remembered. On the bright side, our server was excellent.
